( Aqua decides to keep this short and sweet. It's obvious by now that she isn't returning home any time soon. However, when the time does come for her to leave as others have, she wants to be prepared for it. )

Good evening.

I was wondering if anyone here may have been looking for a sparring partner -- or, if anyone has one, if they wouldn't mind someone else to practice with. My strength is in my magic, if that's something that others want to consider.

Furthermore, I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this world that hasn't been recorded in any of the books here. The more that we know, the better chance that we may be able to solve the mystery of how we can all return home.

... And, finally... I was wondering if there were any places in particular away from the town that others enjoy visiting. Any place that seems peaceful would be wonderful.

Even if they're gone forever, they're still with you.
I took a long time to fully understand that was the case and it helped me a lot.
To know that the person closest to me is still with me in their way.

[Which she hadn't been able to do initially, only feeling the loss.]

Honestly? I might have changed just one single thing in our lives.
But that's the whole hindsight 20/20 thing. Otherwise, I will always care about them and who they are.

( That's how Aqua feels, too. Though, she knows that her friends aren't gone forever. One day, they'll see one another again. She feels like the instant she stops believing in that, she really might not see them again....

She can't lose that faith. They're counting on her, after all. )

What is it that you think you'd change?

When Cinder made us the offer of a job?
I'd have convinced Roman to find another town for us to work in and just skip it.
Hell, even doing crime in Atlas would have been better than her little war.

[It might have meant they ended up dead under the heels of the cascading tides of horrors that were in their world, but they could have gone out together. And besides, maybe things could have just been... different.]

... Someone offered a job to assist in a war?

I can't imagine the things you've seen. I'm so sorry.

It's a little complicated and it wasn't sold as a war.
But yeah, that's basically what it amounted to. Fight on our side or else.
Looking back, I'd definitely pick "Else."

Oh don't worry about me being that scarred by seeing things.
I did plenty of those things myself, and I'm pretty tough on the inside.
It's just that he'd still be with me if we hadn't picked a side.

War is never something that's simple, so... I think I understand.

I know that you must have grown strong to have experience such a thing -- but, it's difficult not to worry when the cost is so great. Especially when this world only may make such things worse for you.

And on top of that... I know that this world takes advantage of any weak spots in your heart.

I'm so sorry, though. I hadn't realized that you lost someone important.

Don't I know all about this world pulling that shit.
I've gotten kind of used to the idea that at some point it's going to do a colossal mind-fuck to me.
That's almost par for the course.

I really just have to work on the "After care" part of the whole thing.
My usual solution involves stabbing monsters to get the pent up frustration out.
And that isn't always a healthy response.

That isn't something someone should ever have to be prepared for in a place they've had to call home.

... I can't say that I don't understand.
Back home, sparring helped when things became difficult in our training.
That may be where our interests end up being similar.

Really? Well, I mean if you ever want to get aa little out of your system?
I'm open to a bit of one on one and some sparring anytime you want.
