( Aqua decides to keep this short and sweet. It's obvious by now that she isn't returning home any time soon. However, when the time does come for her to leave as others have, she wants to be prepared for it. )

Good evening.

I was wondering if anyone here may have been looking for a sparring partner -- or, if anyone has one, if they wouldn't mind someone else to practice with. My strength is in my magic, if that's something that others want to consider.

Furthermore, I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this world that hasn't been recorded in any of the books here. The more that we know, the better chance that we may be able to solve the mystery of how we can all return home.

... And, finally... I was wondering if there were any places in particular away from the town that others enjoy visiting. Any place that seems peaceful would be wonderful.

I haven't noticed a pattern so far.

If anything, it feels strange, the way people leave this place. It'd make sense if all the people who disappeared from this place like that wanted to go home, but I've seen people return to the ocean who had no reason to do so. Either people who wouldn't want to go home, or who just wouldn't want to leave behind their friends here so suddenly.

[ It's something she's thought of before, really. So there's no hesitation in sharing it now. It's better for more people to have more information in a place like this, after all. ]

So there doesn't seem to be much of any rhyme or reason to it, from what I can see.

It almost sounds as though it's not under anyone's control. I had thought that those who seemed to have power here might have been responsible for people coming and leaving, but now... I'm not so sure.

It may only make it that much more difficult to find a way out, but -- if there's a way in, there must be a way out for everyone.

If there is a voluntary way out, it's got to be something about the ocean.

[ That's where people seem to go when they leave, after all. As far as Ange has heard. ]

It might help you look up things in the archive that have to do with the ocean here then. I can't say I've read much about it yet myself, but it can also be a pain in the ass to find anything in these archives in the first place.

I assume that someone's tried to set sail to see what might be out there? Though, something else tells me that that may not be the safest method to try to leave, either.

The archive... I'll take a look. I can't imagine that the answer will be so easily obtained, but it's worth a try.

It's no problem. I believe that sharing as much information as we can with each other is key to dealing with this place, both for those of us who wish to leave and for those of us who want to stay here.

[ Since Ange definitely belongs in that latter camp. They'd have to rip this place out of her cold dead hands! ]

I also go to the archives pretty often, so I could come with you and help show you around. The books there tend to be hard to find and move around a lot, but there's at least some sections where I'm fairly confident about what can usually be found there at this point. [ Being an archives nerd has its benefits, after all.. ]

You've already done so much just by telling me what you have, but if you really don't mind... I'd appreciate that.

But please, let me know what I can do in return. I'm not sure how much I can do, being as new here as I am, but I'm sure that there might be something in the future.

[ .. huh. Ange supposes that it's not entirely out of the ordinary for someone to offer something in return in this place. People here seem to be generally more kind than back home.

On the other hand, it always makes her worry when people offer it so easily. It could be that the person she's writing to right now is a little too naive, a little too eager to offer help - and Ange can imagine others might want to abuse that. Maybe she's wrong, but.. still, she feels like it's something to keep in mind when she meets the other, just to make sure to warn the other in case Aqua really is just too sweet. ]

Really, sharing information is enough to do in return. The more we know about this place, the better. Especially for people like me, who want to stay here.

[ So more information is relevant to her than just information about how one might return home.. ]

And there's no way I'm ever going to have enough time in my life to read every single book in the archives. [ Which means-- the more eyes on the books there, the better, in her opinion. If the task is that big, you just have to split it. ]

I'm sure that you have your reasons for wanting to stay in a world like this one, but... there are others that are far more peaceful than here.

( There's so much darkness in this world. It's almost suffocating -- though, not as much as the other world she was in. No, she supposes that a reasons for that is because of the people who were here. )

... I understand. I'll reach out if I find something that seems especially important.

[ For a moment Ange considers leaving it at that. It's a neat place to stop replying, after all.

But the more she thinks about it, the less she can get what Aqua wrote out of her head. So - belatedly - a response does follow. Though it feels a little too.. personal, so Ange makes sure to switch their messages over to private ones, just in case. ]

I know this place isn't perfect. But that's why I want to change it for the better.

I know this probably sounds ridiculous [ To someone like Aqua, who has a better place to go back to, apparently-- ] but this place is already the best life I've had so far.

... I don't think it's pathetic at all.

( Everyone lives all sorts of lives -- some better than others. And while this world may be one full of danger, there's no doubting the amount of people Aqua's met that have good hearts. )

If something is worth fighting for, it's only natural you'd want to do everything you can for it.
