[Tory flips on her Omni. Behind her sits a black and gold dragon that is roughly the size of an ostrich. Judging by Tory’s calm body language, it’s clear that the dragon is not a beast, but rather, her omen.]

I’m looking for name suggestions for a female dragon. I thought about calling her either Kindness or possibly Thoughts and Prayers, but I should probably consider something more serious, too.

[Much as she appreciates the sarcastic humour of the names, with people here from so many different worlds, it’s a joke that would probably be lost on most people here.]

Also, I was able to make bug spray with my powers. If you’ve got something to trade, you can have some.

[There’s a short pause before she adds one final thing.]

By the way, if you threaten to cut out someone’s tongue because they said some mean words you didn’t like? You’re a bigger asshole than them. Go touch grass.

Ehehe, not exactly. 'Ryukyu' is the Hero name of someone from my world - The Dragoon Hero!! Her quir--eh, power makes her shift her form to take on that of a large, winged, bipedal dragon!

Back home, I was actually working with her and some friends to gain experience in the field as a Hero trainee myself, since she's currently ranked number ten on the charts!! I really, really respect her!

[Ochako nods. Hit the nail on the head, actually!]

Mm, that's it exactly. We're superheroes - dealing primarily with emergency rescue and relief, criminal/villain apprehension and detainment, and other minor emergencies like missing persons/pets and basic theft and burglary. We still have the usual police and law enforcement, but they take a more backseat role these days...usually handling just detaining villains and transporting them to prisons and places than can handle them and their quirks.

Um...th-though some Heroes are seen a lot like celebrities, too, ehehe... Especially the really well known ones in the top charts. Ryukyu-san is a really high-ranking Professional herself, number ten currently in Japan. It's a huge honor to work with her!!

[Ochako would have also loved to work with Mirko again, but the Rabbit Hero doesn't take apprentices and/or internships unless made to by the government. She's more a lone wolf type.]

Yeah, that's right! Quirk is what we call superpowers, or um..."metahuman abilities" if you wanna be scientific about it, ehehe.

And almost everyone had a quirk in my world - the global population is at about 80% of people have them, or develop them when they're little. In all honesty, it's becoming rarer and rarer for people to not have one. Not not all people with quirks become Heroes. Some can just be regular people with regular jobs.

[Doctors, teachers, pilots, or just retail and office workers. Tons of people have quirks are are literally just...normal people. Civilians, if you will.]

Eh, well...it didn't used to be that way, actually. It used to be that supoerpowers and abilities like that were just in stories and movies...fantasy. But I think quirks really emerged about, um... [She hums, tapping her chin with a finger.] Eighty years ago? Midnight-sensei would kill me not remembering that... S-Something like that!! A baby was born in a hospital around that time and it was glowing a golden light. From then on, quirks started to emerge in the world more and more through genes.

But we do still have aliases and Hero Names and stuff. It's actually really dangerous for Heroes to have families or close ties to civilians, since they can be targetted by villain groups, but...yeah. I-I mean, I don't exactly wear a mask or anything. And quirks are specific to a person, for the most part... Our personal information is kept secret, obviously, but it's not hard to figure out stuff about us.

[Which is...actually not great!! Hm.]

I would think so, but I really don't know for sure...or the specifics of it. But in all honesty, I haven't exactly heard of villains going after the families of Heroes in their own homes. I'd think that'd be especially stupid, considering a lot of them are really strong. Most villains don't trifle with high-ranking Pros unless they're sure they can win.

[AKA: Ochako is a bit naive in that regard. Yes, most villains haven't done that, but it's not improbable. Hell, a classmate's elder brother was taken hostage around the time she was at back home because of a vendetta against their father, a very prolific Hero. Saved, but still. It happened - Ochako just hasn't heard about it.]

Oh! Oh, you have it all wrong!! Heroes don't go around using their full names and stuff in the streets! We have code names, hero names we go by when on duty. And we do have costumes which sometimes cover our faces and features quite a bit!! Even as students of a Hero Academy, our private information is protected.

Besides, most small-fry villains are just everyday crooks and thieves, and the really dangerous ones have far more involved plans than looking up a Hero's information and stuff like that. Usually they're the types who think they can go toe-to-toe with the masses on their own...and they are.

[The League of Villains, the yakuza group and Overhaul, that Nine guy from Nobu Island, that other villain group on I-Island...those were real threats.]

Eeeh, well...just from ones I've encountered... There's someone who can create flames so hot they burn blue, and it's a constant flame, too... [Dabi, she's talking specifically about Dabi, who is here in Trench.] I don't know how hot his flames can get, but it's well above the range any creature can survive.

There's also, um...the very worst villain in our world is a person who can steal other quirks and hoard then in his own body, kinda like a dragon has a pile of gold. It makes him especially deadly cuz he can use dozens and dozens of quirks at once, there's no way to know what types he's stolen, and...he can steal yours if he touches you, I think.

[That was the report, right? The one they were told about when shit well and truly hit the proverbial fan.]

[Ochako rubs her face. Of course he did that. Quickly checking to see if this was locked and seeing she stupidly did not do that, Ochako curses in her head and puts up a lock on their conversation instantly.]

Eh...hehe... Y-Yeah, that's one of them. He's, mmh--...definitely very dangerous, but I think...a little less so in this world. I've encountered him once, and we actually, um...worked together, k-kind of. [They pretty much looted an abandoned convenience store when those portals were opening up last month.] I wouldn't exactly trust him, and I doubt he'd ever trust anyone who calls themself a Hero, like I do...but he's smart enough to know his place in this world, I think.

The worst part is, I really don't know if, when, and where someone like him will attack. It all depends, but the Villains I know usually don't instigate...they have to be pushed to attack most of the time. [Except Toga. Toga is a wildcard and plays by her own rules, but apparently the one here is...a Hero? Or she thinks she is?? It's weird. Ochako is still trying to process it.]

I...I-I mean, I'm sure it's the same, sadly. I can't speak for anyone specifically, but people are still people. There are good an bad all over, no matter what kind of moniker they pick up, y'know? Thankfully, most of the Heroes I know do it because they really do just want to do good in the world, but...

Y-Yeah, thankfully...but I honestly think it's just a matter of time. I hate to think that way, but I need to be realistic. Just be careful if you encounter him, and please don't goad him into a fight. I mean it.

Um, a-anyway, I think I'm up next, so I'm gonna go get ready for my match no!! Thanks for talking with me!!
