[Tory flips on her Omni. Behind her sits a black and gold dragon that is roughly the size of an ostrich. Judging by Tory’s calm body language, it’s clear that the dragon is not a beast, but rather, her omen.]

I’m looking for name suggestions for a female dragon. I thought about calling her either Kindness or possibly Thoughts and Prayers, but I should probably consider something more serious, too.

[Much as she appreciates the sarcastic humour of the names, with people here from so many different worlds, it’s a joke that would probably be lost on most people here.]

Also, I was able to make bug spray with my powers. If you’ve got something to trade, you can have some.

[There’s a short pause before she adds one final thing.]

By the way, if you threaten to cut out someone’s tongue because they said some mean words you didn’t like? You’re a bigger asshole than them. Go touch grass.

She is, yes. I haven't gotten her name yet, but I know she's a girl.

[She looks curious at the mention of the book.]

That sounds really interesting. Were the dragons in your world her size, or were they huge? In my world, dragons are only fictional.

Yes, they were very big. I only saw the Grey Ghost come through one of the portals, and he was said to be one of the smallest ones, but he's massive. But your omen looks very different; the dragons in my world have their front legs and wings attached.

[at least the grey ghost does, and sansa thinks her book would have said if that was very unusual. she pauses.]

You might like to try asking her name, while I get my book.

[she stands up, and a black batkitten lands in her seat as she walks away.]

[Okay, that batkitten? Is super cute. Tory can't help but smile at it.

She tries unsuccessfully to ask her omen's name, but all she gets is a gentle nudge from her dragon's nose.]

Looks like you have a seat thief.

[dohaeris]

[sansa returns with a stack of parchment in one arm. she laughs at the kitten and the comment.]

Visenya!

[she scoops up the kitten with her left hand and sits, depositing her in her lap.]

I named her after one of the old dragon queens. I expect she wants to ride your omen.

[visenya noses her way under sansa's lightly belled sleeve and bites her wrist. sansa doesn't seem to take much notice of this.]

Meleys was the red queen and Tessarion was the blue queen. I also liked Dreamfyre and Stormcloud, but it doesn't say if they ever laid eggs.

I like the name Dreamfyre. No luck in getting her to tell me her name so far.

[But she gives a little pat to her dragon's nose nonetheless.]

I'll have to see if she's open to offering a ride.

[sansa's face lights up.]

Oh! I do know a man making a saddle for his dragon omen--omens can change their size. Perhaps he could make one for yours, too. His name is Diluc, and he can be found at the tavern called the Roost.

[she smiles.]

I do like the name Kindness. But if you want it to be droll...

[her white raven omen says "Winter is taken." sansa glances over at him, then looks down at the kitten in her lap. she thinks about the queen she named her after, and the girl in whose honor she did so. her smile twists to one side when she looks up.]

Oh, that would be amazing if she could get big enough for me to ride on her. Assuming she was willing. Mostly she likes to watch me training.

[The name suggestion does get a grin out of her. She might as well explain the joke now that they're getting chatty.]

There's an expression where I come from, "kill them with kindness". It means to be kind and helpful out of spite to someone you don't like to make them uncomfortable.

[sansa laughs loudly. that sounds very like what margaery does to cersei--and everyone, really. sansa greatly aspires to this.]

That's wonderful! I never knew there was a name for it. People get so angry and they can't even tell you why.

[she pets visenya's head with her thumb.]

Where I come from, there's a saying that "a lady's armor is her courtesy." It means if you say the right things people won't be able to hurt you.

[it's served sansa well, but she does sometimes get tired of being discourteous.]

My people thought it certain death to try and fight a dragon.

[Tory smiles and pets her dragon.]

If I named her Kindness, I'd always keep people guessing as to what kind of "killing them with kindness" I meant.

[Although if anyone's angered her enough for her to get violent, she knows she'd rather use her fists or a weapon rather than her omen.]

Does courtesy work? I suppose people are less likely to want to hurt you if you're polite and avoid causing problems.

[she smiles wryly.]

If you're very good at it. Diplomacy might be a good name for a dragon, too.

It gives a whole new meaning to "I'll solve this problem with Diplomacy".
