[Tory flips on her Omni. Behind her sits a black and gold dragon that is roughly the size of an ostrich. Judging by Tory’s calm body language, it’s clear that the dragon is not a beast, but rather, her omen.]

I’m looking for name suggestions for a female dragon. I thought about calling her either Kindness or possibly Thoughts and Prayers, but I should probably consider something more serious, too.

[Much as she appreciates the sarcastic humour of the names, with people here from so many different worlds, it’s a joke that would probably be lost on most people here.]

Also, I was able to make bug spray with my powers. If you’ve got something to trade, you can have some.

[There’s a short pause before she adds one final thing.]

By the way, if you threaten to cut out someone’s tongue because they said some mean words you didn’t like? You’re a bigger asshole than them. Go touch grass.

That's kind of a mouthful, but there are a lot of people who like scary stories, or roller coasters that drop you down and send you through loop de loops.

Is that something you had back home, or is it a blood power? The electricity, I mean.

True, those are examples!

That would be a 'back home' thing. After I communed with the Black Garnet for the first time. Now that's a memory! And then I got extra blood powers here!

Terrifunfying kind of reminds me of the phrase "Hangry", where you're angry because you're hungry.

What kind of blood powers did you get here?

Hangry! I like the sound of that. It makes sense. People can - can get a little bit cranky sometimes when they haven't eaten! [She might be thinking of Catra.]

Well, on top of my electricity, now I can shoot out fire and ice! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.

That's a good mix of powers. I can make stuff exist out of nothing and move things with my mind. I didn't have any powers before coming here.

Oh wow, that sounds so cool! I don't think I've seen those particular powers before. Sounds like, like a good blood situation you've got going on there. You have to show me sometime!

Oh gosh! Right here, right now? Sure! Um, uh, how about clothing? That should be nice!

[Tory pauses, shuts her eyes and focuses for a moment, holding out her hands in front of the omni until a hoodie appears in them.]

Pretty cool, huh?

[Scorpia is easily engrossed with the display, and she watches as the hoodie materializes, just like that.]

Wow! That - that was incredible! You made it appear just like that. Like magic! And cool design too. You know, I have a jacket that has a snake thing going on, so it's a nice - nice association there!

Oh neat! I think I've heard of that around town...

I do have my jacket here! Just give me a second to get it.

[After a few moments, she'll proudly hold up a leather jacket! It looks like this, but with the sleeves torn off and some holes by the shoulders.]

There's two of them around here. Sensei Lawrence and Sensei Silver both have their own ways of doing things, so they decided to have separate dojos.

[There's a lot more to it, but she doesn't want to get into all the karate drama. Instead, she waits while Scorpia retrieves her jacket.]

It looks cool. I like it.

Oh neat! Double your dojo, double your fun. Definitely sounds like something I've heard people chattering about.

[Scorpia grins as she lowers the jacket.]

I know, right? Thanks. You really have a good idea! I got this back in the Crimson Waste. Used to belong to some tongue guy who ran a gang there, but Catra whipped his tail good, and these jackets were like our super cool friendship battle victory souvenirs! {A nostalgic sigh.] Ahhh, good times...!

Tongue guy? There were people who'd actually be in a gang led by a tongue guy?

[Thanks to Scorpia's features, she now has quite the image of a man with a tongue that goes down to his ankles, like something straight out of a comic book.

Believe it or not? Yes. He had quite a few rapscallions running with him! But that all ended when Catra took him down. His gang became ours, just like that! Guess they weren't too attached to him at the end there.

I mean, Scorpia and Catra do sound like much cooler names than "tongue guy". Plus I guess he wasn't really all that good to them if he couldn't inspire any loyalty.

Why thank you! To be fair, that wasn't actually his name, but it... it did have some kind of tongue-y sound to it. He really looked like he could use some constructive criticism in the whole leadership department to be sure. Me and Catra, we did so great for the short time we ruled over that gang!

Sounds like a good memory, considering you were hanging out in a place called the Crimson Waste.

Oh yeah, trust me. That was not a pleasant place to be! Like, absolutely one of the worst places I've ever been to. But we definitely made the absolute best out of our situation! Just like all of us do in places like this, I guess.

[Her optimism is kind of endearing. Particularly since clearly it doesn't come from being privileged and sheltered.]

One thing I really like here is the barter economy. People willing to work hard can do fine here. Or as fine as anyone can be in a place like this. I've never had my own house before. My family always rented an apartment, and none of the ones we rented were nice.

Yes! Bartering is so much fun. It's great to be able to get something just for doing anything I'm good at! Like singing and hugging... I mean, those are things I love doing for free, but if I can get stuff to help me get by from it? That is a really nice bonus in my book! I... did have a pretty nice room where I came from, but it's still really nice having my own house here. I'm so glad that this is working out well for you! We really are making the best of things.
