If anyone is still dealing with the beast effects from the month you are welcome to come ot my shop. I think I have figured out a a good combination of teas and incense that can at least alleviate any discomfort caused by it.

[He can't guarantee that it will solve the issue of being monsters but he still hopes that things will work out by the time the month ends. He's dealt with two years of this kind of stuff so he has at least partially figure out how it all works.]

And even if you have more normal ailments, I have stuff for that too. Different teas are good for different physical and mental issues. I don't really have any set hours since the shop is just inside my house. Feel free to come to my door at any time.

[If someone knocks on his door he will answer. Even if it is super late at night. He doesn't sleep much.]

The house is located in Cassandra and its...pretty recognizable.

[Large Chinese style home sticks out quite a bit amongst all the standard housing around him.]

Do you have anything to help with sleep issues? Or something that might be able to make sleep dreamless?

Definitely have something that will help with sleep! As for making it dreamless that is a little bit more difficult but I can certainly see what i can come up with. Do you have a preference for style of medication? Tea is usually pretty easy to take but I can also put it into pill form and in some instances, incense.

I don't have a problem with tea, though I do think some teas are kind of gross. Like chamomile. I know it's supposed to be good at calming you but it tastes awful. Pill form would be nice, though!

[He laughs because he can agree that not all tea is great. He has discovered that himself, especially when trying to create new styles of teas to combat ailments.]

There are definitely some bad teas out there. But I can easily make the same kind of remedy in pill form. I've learned since being here that it is the better option for a lot of people.

Teas require a lot of know-how to get them to taste right, I've learned. [ who would know that following the directions on the box of tea would make it taste better than just dumping boiling water into a cup ] It makes sense pill form would work better for a lot of people here, especially if you've got a picky patient, like me.

I never really thought tea would be useful for things like sleep problems. Or any problems, honestly. I always thought people just said that to sell their teas.

You would be surprised what tea is capable of. The right combination of leaves and ingredients and you can help a variety of things. But it all depends on the person. Some get more help out of it then others. But that's why I try to change the tea to fit the person as best I can.

So, you're like some kind of tea master then? What else can tea help with?

I consider myself more of an inventor. Different types of teas just happens to fall under what I can invent.

They can calm or energize, help with sleep or help stay awake, cure internal wounds and if applied a certain way..external wounds as well.

[At least the leaves can before they are brewed into tea.]

Wow. [ She sounds genuinely amazed. She always viewed tea as something you drink when you have nothing else but to hear what they can do with the right knowledge... It's impressive. ]

I'll definitely have to come by for a visit, maybe stock up on some things. What sorts of things do you prefer for trade? I don't have a lot but I do paint if you're ever looking to have a few unique pieces of work for your shop.

I don't really need any payment. The fact I am able to help is more then enough. But if you decide you want to paint then I will gladly hang them up in here.

I'll never get used to how so many people here are just willing to help with no expectations for anything in return.

I think most of us just know that in this place, its more important to have friends and allies then income.

I guess I can see the logic in that. This isn't a place where you can go it alone, even if I wish it were.

In a way it is good to have such a sense of community. It's just a shame it happens because we live in a world that can be dangerous at any given moment.

And, what, pray tell, shall we do if we simply want tea and to spend time with a friend? I do hope that the shop can handle such a simple request.

[He laughs]

the house is always open for that! We have plenty of regular tea and time for company.

Wonderful! Regular tea is never a bad thing, so I can come to imbibe, share and trade. The company will be a good thing.

Shall I save the gossip and dishing for when I'm at your place or start right now?

Gossip is always better over drinks isn't it?

[Alcoholic usually is the best for that kind of thing but he has certainly heard some good stories over tea as well.]

Mmmm, sharing a beverage of any variety is the perfect time for a bit of gossip. And I am sure we both have at least a little news. I'll be over shortly.

[She made her way to the nearest teleportation point to his home and began the process of navigating through her least favorite district. There were good friends here, but oh she never felt comfortable in Cassandra. Still, eventually she'd be there gently knocking at the door with a smile on her face, and a basket of Shitake mushrooms over one arm. Hey, if Minako wouldn't eat them, she could definitely trade with them.]

[He smiles as he opens the door, holding it open for her so that she can enter the home that doubles as a shop.]

Come on in and make yourself comfortable.

[The shop is to the left when one enters the door. Shelves lined with leaves and medicines and incense sticks behind a counter. The house opens open into a living area to the right. All the ancient Chinese decor that matches the exterior of the home with very few modern appliances in sight.]

[She was all too happy to follow those directions, sliding in and stretching as she did so, setting the basket down when she found a convenient spot to do so. She smiled over at him and took in the decorations with a little sigh.]

Oh this is lovely. It reminds me a little of Yamato in a way. You have lovely aesthetics, you know.

[He smiles and looks around the house.]Thank you. It is mostly my husband's decorating. I'm just too lazy to change any of it.

[Rather...he needs to keep it the same so he can feel like Lan Wangji is still around in a way. He had very little to do with the actual decorating but it is obvious that the touches of red in the decor were done because it was meant for him.]

The shop was his to take care of too. But at least it gives me something to do.

There's nothing wrong with holding the candle of the memory, whether out of habit or for your own heart. It seems a good use of your time at the very least, and I'm sure he'd be pleased to see you keeping up the place.

[You know, in that expressionless, emotionally repressed way that he had where he just looked around the room, said absolutely nothing, concealed a barely perceptible smile, grunted noncommittally and then nodded once.

The thing he did when he was really impressed.]

It's a lot to keep up with on my own but I suppose its the thought he might come back to it is what gives me the energy to do so.

[He goes behind the counter of the shop area to collect a nice tea for them to enjoy, selecting one and taking it towards the kitchen to start the water.]

[She joined him in the kitchen, leaning against the counter while the water started to heat.]

It's your shared home, and the knowledge that he might return to it and wanting him to find it as it should be is important. You may one day be back to him again in your world, but so long as you're here, might as well keep the house ready, mmm?

That's what keeps us all motivated to do what we do, isn't it? To be ready for people to come that we miss, or be ready to return to them when the time is right.

[That is his motivation for a lot of things. But also making sure that he can help people through living this world is another reason he does what he does.]

I'm not sure with all of us, but for many of the people I know, yes. That is exactly what motivates us. We yearn to see this world become a haven for our loved ones to join us in. We want a world they can love, be it in the small scale or the large.

[She smiled over at him.]

You know, I don't believe I ever really knew your husband. Do you mind telling me about him?

Ah...well he never made it to this world. For some reason after we left the dream world we were separated.

[It still hurts to know that for some reason he was forced to continue on this journey without him but the pain has started to get a little easier. It has almost been a year apart.]

He is quiet, handsome, and good at everything. Still not sure why he likes me.

[He laughs and starts to get a tray ready with the cups for the tea.]

A shame. We've lost so many, though I still believe that they can rise up from the waves to us in time, and I wait for them still.

[She nodded softly while she leaned against the counter and watched him preparing the tea, chuckling at the latter part of the description and smiling to herself.]

I say the same thing of my fiance, you know. I think sometimes our opposites are attracted to us. Like poles of a magnet, they are drawn together by invisible forces that are undeniable.

[Funny story. Magic world or not, she knew all about magnets. Hah, they had gauss rifles in her world, so...]

[He collects the tea and nods his head towards the table. He carries it over and sets it down. There is already a few additives there that she is welcome to put in the tea if desired.]

I always thought he hated me...or at least didn't like me very much. But we really were drawn together by something so there is some truth to that.

It doesn't always play out that way, but sometimes? What it is that draws opposites together is that there is a piece missing from each life, and that completion breeds compatibility. It's fascinating to watch. Makes for pairings you'd never imagine.

[She laughed softly as she added a little honey to her tea and held it in her hands.]

I remember that one of the roughest, coldest, most angry souls I ever met, a soul so bred by bitterness at what was expected of him? He fell in love with a girl who knew nothing but self sacrifice, love and hope. Your love. Is he a fairly formal sort then?

He is. His entire life was run by rules and being proper and never stepping outside of all of that.

[Until Wei Wuxian showed up and did everything his own way and broke every rule that anyone could possibly try and hold him to. So he understands some of that description of the other couple. Even during his darkest of times, Lan Wangji tried to stand by his side. He just...wouldn't let him. He was blind to everything. Of course...its not like Lan Wangji was one to actually tell him what he was feeling. And Wei Wuxian clearly was not as observant as he thought he was..]

I guess we are a lot like that couple. I came along and made him step outside those rigid constraints.

Oh now that is almost the exact opposite of you just from the few talks that we've shared, isn't it?

[Sorry, but Wei Wuxian definitely didn't give the air of someone who was so worried about following things by the letter of the law. She smiled as he said the rest and nodded.]

I'm glad you were able, and I doubt he was quite as bad as Duran. Duran was always so very angry. Your love just sounds like he needed to be let out of his shell eventually.

It's funny but...it was Deerington that actually really forced him out of his shell. It was there that everything changed. I'm not sure things would have worked out the same way back home.

[He thought they were going their separate ways after the temple. He wasn't sure when he would see Lan Zhan again after that. He doesn't know what their future would have been or what it will be when he gets to leave this place.]

One of the strange tragedies, and yet opportunities I have seen here in this world. there are some... for whom the path that they walk? It could not hope to be other than it is, but that they met souls that they would never have met before in their worlds, dealt with different trials and expectations, were briefly freed of obligations or conflicts they were part of before.

It... can be profound. [She shook her head.] But, at the same time, if you are meant to be together, it's fate, yes?

I suppose I'll find out if it is fate if he ever returns here or if we end up the same way back home whenever I return.

[He would like to hope that it is fate and their souls are connected no matter what.]

The one nice piece of all of this is the fact we get to meet so many people we normally wouldn't. And have tea with them.

[He smiles at her, clearly meaning the friendship they have developed over their shared experiences here.]

Such is the way of fate, in the end. You will have the chance to see in time.

[She laughed softly and nodded back at him, her smile warm.]

Oh yes. That really is one of the treats of this place. As awful as it is, I never would have met anyone I met here. In truth, I've always been amongst strangers at first in this world, so it's been... eye opening to share time with so many new people.

We grow ourselves whenever we meet someone new. Each new entry into our lives shapes us whether through experiences or learning about their homes. It opens our minds to so many new things.

[Wei Wuxian appreciates the fact that his experiences here and the previous world have helped him grow. He feels like he is a completely different person from the man that first stepped foot onto Deerington. He doesn't know if it is a good change or a bad, but it is still a change. ANd he misses the people he has met in these places just as much as he misses the people at home when they suddenly disappear.]

[She grinned and nodded vigorously at that. After a century of wandering and especially after all that she'd seen here...]

You're absolutely right. I think that some of the things that we accomplished in this world would not be possible, had we not met some of the people we met here. The paths we walk are unique because of those who share them.

[He lifts his glass like a toast.]

To learning even more about ourselves, this world, and those in it. And growing stronger with each path.

[She held her drink up and toasted with him.]

Here's to all the new experiences and those we get to share them with. Something good about the city of Trench I will never regret.
