[ Yuri's voice is low and rough, somehow both heated and emotionless. His emotional state has been degrading since Flynn's omen led him to Flynn's corpse. He growls and there's rustling over the Omni ]

If you killed him, be at the Gate at midnight.

[ It's not hard to put the pieces together.

This is the guy. The guy who killed Flynn. He has a face, a username. It's more than he had before, and he's feeling less furious, now. Instead, he's more lost in his grief, the anger and pain tying up in a knot in his chest.

He stares at the face on the screen with a blank expression.

He didn't even know Flynn's name. He's smiling, and Yuri wants to punch that smile off his face. ]

[ It's hard to say. So hard. But Blue and Ruby and Varian are right. They're right, Flynn wouldn't want him to do that. Flynn would be so pissed at him if he knew, if he knew Yuri put himself in danger to try and bring him to justice, when it isn't really justice at all. ]

Who are you.

[That's disappointing, he'd been ready for another opportunity to alleviate the itch under his skin.]

That's a shame.

[He sighs as if he has any right to be upset.]

They put us together. Said we couldn't leave unless we did it. It wasn't personal. He was just unlucky.

Unlucky. I fought in there without killing anyone. He was unlucky that you-- you took it too far.

[ Goddess, he wants to fight him. He wants to kill him. The bloodlust, the pain, the anger, they're all simmering there under his skin, but the edge is gone, the edge has left that knowledge that Flynn would hate it. He wouldn't want Yuri to avenge him ]

And if I am? [He's curious if the response would be different if it was someone who already had a reputation.]

Then it sounds like you have a bad habit of killing people.

[ His voice is neutral, but his eyes are hard. What does he do, now? How can he demand justice when he's met with a smile? That makes him want to strike, to go against everything Blue worked with him on. He wants to hurt this man, to wipe that smile off his face. ]

You seem pretty damn pleased with yourself.

[facultative]

[He's not quite proud, that implies he had a vested interest in taking Flynn's life. He merely had the opportunity to satisfy an itch and he took it. And if this leads to another chance to alleviate the symptoms of bloodsport then even better.]

I saw how he fought. You're going to tell me your friend never killed someone?

It was a battle, he lost. I didn't hunt him down, he was enjoying it just as much as I was.

[ Yuri can say that with utter certainty. Flynn would never, never kill someone without having exhausted all other choices.

The anger is simmering under the surface, and Yuri wants to know where he is, wants to take his revenge.

Flynn wouldn't want that. Goddess, he wouldn't, but he'd probably love to punch this guy too. ]

You didn't have to kill him. So why did you?

[facultative]

[That's a question that requires far too much awareness that Anakin just doesn't have.]

Dunno. Just felt like it.

[ Anger surges down through Yuri again, boiling in his gut and he knows he can't do anything. His hands are tied because killing this guy isn't the answer. It's not the answer, and Yuri might end up dead, and if there are two things that Flynn wouldn't want, it's Yuri killing someone and Yuri dying. If he's trying to live by what Flynn would want him to do, if he's honoring Flynn with his actions, he can't do it. He can't.

But he can cuss the guy out ]
