[Well, Maul knows there's only four candidates that could possibly be here in Trench and he knows for certain it wasn't him. But people will think it is. That's just the way they are. Bad people don't get the same courtesies as good people do, even when they're trying to change for the better. He doesn't speak up in his own defense because he knows no one will believe him. He just waits and watches as the replies trickle in, seeing what people are saying.
