Hey everyone. Mako here.

[ The voice clips in just before the actual video appears for reasons that become clear in a moment: Mako steps back from where he's clearly set the Omni on a table to record what looks like a garage sale right outside the Raccoon Room.

A long table absolutely covered in little bits and baubles glints in the sun. In the center of everything sits Fritter the raccoon, Wu's omen, looking contrite and also sort of like she would like to leave. Her little ears are back and her tiny arms are crossed.

Scowling, Mako steps back to stand in front of the table, crossing his arms to match Fritter. ]

Some of you might have noticed some stuff going missing in the last couple months.

[ A pause. Mako glances back at Fritter, who huffs at him and holds up a winking blue heart-shaped gem on a sparkling chain. That... sure looks important. ]

Can't promise that what you lost is here, but there's a good chance it is. We'll be out here all day.

I'm sorry! [ Wu's voice pipes up from behind the camera ] It's my fault, really.

[ He turns the Omni around at a very selfie angle, pouting at the camera ]

I'm sorry that Fritter stole your stuff, it wasn't her fault! It was mine. Corruption just got me! I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I was mean to so many of you. Shiro, I'm sorry for making fun of your hair; Jessica, I'm sorry for throwing you out of the Raccoon Room. Manabu, I'm really sorry that I made you get a tattoo. [ Big grimace there ] I mean, I still think it looks great on you—

[ Mako clears his throat and Wu wrinkles his nose ] but that's not the point! I'm sorry for all of it. I'm better now! No more corruption here, no sir.

[ A beat. Mako narrows his eyes even more.]

Uh, please come get your stuff!

Well-- yes! A late apology is still an apology. [ r u d e, he's trying here ] I'm apologizing for pressuring you into it, not for how cool it looks.

[ Piped in from somewhere clearly near but not next to Wu: ]

[withering:] Jeeeez... [hhh.] Why would it even be on you if I wasn't the one smart enough to notice it wasn't your usual...Wu-ness?

It does, thank you, Mako!

That-- isn't about you being smart! I was very charming. Even Mako said so. [ And, for Wu, that means that even the smartest, best detective he knows was done in by Wu's corruption charm, so Manabu shouldn't feel bad ] I'm back to normal now, and I don't think I'll be getting any more tattoos, or making anyone else get one, unless they really, really want to.

[siriusly]

[anyone else...

wait--]

...You didn't pull that on other people, too, did you?

[arclightning]

He tried to convince me to get one.

[royalfling]

I still think you would look great with one. [ But, no, he did not succeed ] No one else, Manabu! Just-- you. And Mako. I think. [ Oh, no. Unless he did and doesn't remember? ]

[siriusly]

[hotly:] You should've! You should've out of principle! You're the married guy, not me!!

[arclightning]

What does being married have to do with getting a tattoo?

[royalfling]

Thank you, Manabu! I have one, and Manabu has one. You're going to feel left out. [ Oh no, he's back to peer pressuring, but in a light, passive aggressive way ]

[siriusly]

Isn't it in the vows? Doing the same things, sharing the same things... [an expert in matrimony here, clearly.]

[arclightning]

It wasn't in ours. I'm not getting a tattoo. The Triple Threats have tattoos.

[royalfling]

People who aren't in gangs get tattoos here, Mako. [ Wu has clearly made this argument many times. You can basically hear him rolling his eyes. ] Manabu would never be in a gang! Look at him! [ Too soft! Too kind! Not gang material ]

[siriusly]

[he's stuck between indignation and just stupidity at this point:] Wait, so-- [the whole HEY MAKO WE'RE IN A GANG NOW bit--]

Oh, right...corruption. Yeah, I--[look at him] Wait, what's that supposed to mean?!

[arclightning]

[ Talking right over Manabu's outrage, like he's discussing the weather: ]

No, you're right. Zolt would eat him alive.

Wait. You all got tattoos?

[WITHOUT HIM??]

[siriusly]

[WUH--]

[royalfling]

Yes, yes we did. [ Indignant! ] And I stand by it! They're cool.

[spiritwalks]

[royalfling]

[ Wu, on the other hand, has no such issue with this, and shimmies off his jacket, before rolling up the sleeve on his right arm, showing off his constellation tattoo, that shimmers with darkblood in the ink ]

Manabu's just shy. His is on his chest. Pretty swanky, isn't it?

[spiritwalks]

[Vyng's mild annoyance at being left out evaporates — it's understandable, seeing how parenthood keeps him so busy (and out of many spur-of-the-moment decisions). In any case, he leans closer to his screen and gives a small, quiet gasp.]

Oh, wow. That's gorgeous!

[royalfling]

[ Wu laughs happily, admiring it himself, too ]

Thank you! I don't think I would have had the guts to get it, if I'd been in the right mind, but I really can't regret it! It's the badgermole constellation, I used to look up at it all the time from the palace.

[spiritwalks]

Trust me. As far as drunk-tattoo stories go, you really couldn't have done any better than this.

[Seriously. Tuck refuses to shave his beard for a reason.]
