Hey everyone. Mako here.

[ The voice clips in just before the actual video appears for reasons that become clear in a moment: Mako steps back from where he's clearly set the Omni on a table to record what looks like a garage sale right outside the Raccoon Room.

A long table absolutely covered in little bits and baubles glints in the sun. In the center of everything sits Fritter the raccoon, Wu's omen, looking contrite and also sort of like she would like to leave. Her little ears are back and her tiny arms are crossed.

Scowling, Mako steps back to stand in front of the table, crossing his arms to match Fritter. ]

Some of you might have noticed some stuff going missing in the last couple months.

[ A pause. Mako glances back at Fritter, who huffs at him and holds up a winking blue heart-shaped gem on a sparkling chain. That... sure looks important. ]

Can't promise that what you lost is here, but there's a good chance it is. We'll be out here all day.

I'm sorry! [ Wu's voice pipes up from behind the camera ] It's my fault, really.

[ He turns the Omni around at a very selfie angle, pouting at the camera ]

I'm sorry that Fritter stole your stuff, it wasn't her fault! It was mine. Corruption just got me! I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I was mean to so many of you. Shiro, I'm sorry for making fun of your hair; Jessica, I'm sorry for throwing you out of the Raccoon Room. Manabu, I'm really sorry that I made you get a tattoo. [ Big grimace there ] I mean, I still think it looks great on you—

[ Mako clears his throat and Wu wrinkles his nose ] but that's not the point! I'm sorry for all of it. I'm better now! No more corruption here, no sir.

[ A beat. Mako narrows his eyes even more.]

Uh, please come get your stuff!

(( ooc: absolutely feel free to assume your character's random trinkets and stuff is here even if it wasn't called out in the post! Fritter is a monster. Also feel free to respond in action if anyone wants to wander by and/or come get their stolen stuff! ))

It does, thank you, Mako!

That-- isn't about you being smart! I was very charming. Even Mako said so. [ And, for Wu, that means that even the smartest, best detective he knows was done in by Wu's corruption charm, so Manabu shouldn't feel bad ] I'm back to normal now, and I don't think I'll be getting any more tattoos, or making anyone else get one, unless they really, really want to.

[siriusly]

[anyone else...

wait--]

...You didn't pull that on other people, too, did you?

[arclightning]

He tried to convince me to get one.

[royalfling]

I still think you would look great with one. [ But, no, he did not succeed ] No one else, Manabu! Just-- you. And Mako. I think. [ Oh, no. Unless he did and doesn't remember? ]

[siriusly]

[hotly:] You should've! You should've out of principle! You're the married guy, not me!!

[arclightning]

What does being married have to do with getting a tattoo?

[royalfling]

Thank you, Manabu! I have one, and Manabu has one. You're going to feel left out. [ Oh no, he's back to peer pressuring, but in a light, passive aggressive way ]

[siriusly]

Isn't it in the vows? Doing the same things, sharing the same things... [an expert in matrimony here, clearly.]

[arclightning]

It wasn't in ours. I'm not getting a tattoo. The Triple Threats have tattoos.

[royalfling]

People who aren't in gangs get tattoos here, Mako. [ Wu has clearly made this argument many times. You can basically hear him rolling his eyes. ] Manabu would never be in a gang! Look at him! [ Too soft! Too kind! Not gang material ]

[siriusly]

[he's stuck between indignation and just stupidity at this point:] Wait, so-- [the whole HEY MAKO WE'RE IN A GANG NOW bit--]

Oh, right...corruption. Yeah, I--[look at him] Wait, what's that supposed to mean?!

[arclightning]

[ Talking right over Manabu's outrage, like he's discussing the weather: ]

No, you're right. Zolt would eat him alive.

[siriusly]

What do you mean "look at him"-?!?

[royalfling]

He wouldn't last a day... [ Wu says, like he knows anything about gangs. ]

[siriusly]

HEY!!!

[arclightning]

I give him an hour tops before he gets mad about some law they're breaking and gets bum rushed out of there.

[ Literally who let Mako talk like this ]

[siriusly]

Which one of us is riding out to the monster-infested perimeter right now, huh?!?!

[royalfling]

We're not saying you aren't tough, buddy! You get those monsters! You're just... [ He trails off. How to say this... ] not gang material! That's not a bad thing. I'm not either. [ Ouch, but now your aptitude is being lumped in with Wu's... ]

[arclightning]

[ No that's actually a good point. ]

No, believe me, you don't— that's not what we're... Bolin's not gang material either, you know? Good people don't join up with the triads.

[siriusly]

[that's nice and all, but he's all sassed up and irate now!!

grumpily:] They just get chewed up, right. Guess I'm off to go get chewed up now! Don't wait up, sounds like you got a lot to do.

[royalfling]

Manabu! Hey, no, don't get chewed up! It's not a bad thing! [ He would go after you if he knew where you were, buddy! ] It's good that you wouldn't be good in a gang, Mako hated it when he was!

[siriusly]

[grumpy, but like...in a self-aware way, cuz he knows he's bein' dumb now:] It doesn't matter either way. I'll be back in a day or two, alright?

[royalfling]

A day or two-- Manabu, where are you going?!
