Hey everyone. Mako here.

[ The voice clips in just before the actual video appears for reasons that become clear in a moment: Mako steps back from where he's clearly set the Omni on a table to record what looks like a garage sale right outside the Raccoon Room.

A long table absolutely covered in little bits and baubles glints in the sun. In the center of everything sits Fritter the raccoon, Wu's omen, looking contrite and also sort of like she would like to leave. Her little ears are back and her tiny arms are crossed.

Scowling, Mako steps back to stand in front of the table, crossing his arms to match Fritter. ]

Some of you might have noticed some stuff going missing in the last couple months.

[ A pause. Mako glances back at Fritter, who huffs at him and holds up a winking blue heart-shaped gem on a sparkling chain. That... sure looks important. ]

Can't promise that what you lost is here, but there's a good chance it is. We'll be out here all day.

I'm sorry! [ Wu's voice pipes up from behind the camera ] It's my fault, really.

[ He turns the Omni around at a very selfie angle, pouting at the camera ]

I'm sorry that Fritter stole your stuff, it wasn't her fault! It was mine. Corruption just got me! I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I was mean to so many of you. Shiro, I'm sorry for making fun of your hair; Jessica, I'm sorry for throwing you out of the Raccoon Room. Manabu, I'm really sorry that I made you get a tattoo. [ Big grimace there ] I mean, I still think it looks great on you—

[ Mako clears his throat and Wu wrinkles his nose ] but that's not the point! I'm sorry for all of it. I'm better now! No more corruption here, no sir.

[ A beat. Mako narrows his eyes even more.]

Uh, please come get your stuff!

(( ooc: absolutely feel free to assume your character's random trinkets and stuff is here even if it wasn't called out in the post! Fritter is a monster. Also feel free to respond in action if anyone wants to wander by and/or come get their stolen stuff! ))

Oh, there are plenty of rings! [ He says, like that's a good thing. He starts to skims over the pile ] What kind of symbol? Gold or silver? We'll definitely find it, right, princess?

[ Fritter chitters as she picks through it, too. She hasn't been willing to find everyone's stuff for them, but she likes Ange a lot. ]

I don't know! Maybe, maybe! We are very close. Maybe because I had her before we came here? Either way, it was really awful. I feel so bad that she had to suffer because of me.

[arclightning]

I don't exactly think she was suffering.

[ Like Fritter, Zuko (equally contrite) is helping to sort through the piles of jewelry, so Mako leaves them to it to shift closer to Ange, letting his shoulder bump hers in greeting. ]

We'll find it. Sorry about that. If anything like that goes missing in the future, check with us, and if Fritter didn't do it, I'll help you track it down.

[entreats]

[ Ange shakes her head. ]

Really, guys, it's fine. As long as it's here, I don't mind. [ Not having lost it entirely in the first place is so much more important than having had to worry about it for a little while.

Besides, it's cute that Fritter and Zuko are helping to look. These adorable critters are doing their best. ]

It's golden, and it's kind of on the big side. [ There's a faint pause, but then Ange looks up from the piles of jewelry and trinkets, glancing instead over at the two guys standing there with her. ] And, the ring deal aside.. I'm just glad that you guys are doing okay.

[ Especially with how big of a threat corruption is in this place. Even the stuff that's being thrown at them every month seems easier to handle than that. ]

I was pretty worried when I saw you like that, Wu. But I didn't know what to do to help you.

[royalfling]

[ Wu lets out a soft sigh, nodding ]

Thank you, for trying. I was pretty far gone, it took Mako here quite a bit to bring me back. If it weren't for the gift that Argonaut gave me, I don't think I could've done it.

[ He looks up at Mako with big, sad eyes, reaching over for his hand ]

I really, there wasn't even anything that set me off! I don't know why... I need to think about it more and really figure out how to prevent it in the future. I'm happy! Really happy. I thought it only happened when you aren't happy...

[ But--he's supposed to be helping here, and looks down at the table, sorting through things, looking for the big, gold ring. Unfortunately, there's a lot of gold stuff, and he's having trouble finding it, yet.

Except, then, Fritter chirps and holds up something, crawling over to bring it to Ange. She found a ring! Is it Ange's? She isn't sure. ]

[entreats]

[ Honestly, she's just glad that these two have each other to rely on. Being as close as they are still means there's always someone with the ability to pull you back - especially with the bond they've formed.

But before Ange can comment on anything, there's Fritter, being the little heroic critter of the day. The girl glances down at the raccoon, first surprised, but then smiles as she takes the ring from Fritter. ]

That's the one. [ She's already putting it back on her finger. Like she's worried about losing it again.

But then the next action she's taking right away is first giving Fritter a pat on the head. She may have stolen the ring in the first place, but she also helped Ange find it back, so clearly they're even.

Even enough for her gaze to move back up. ]

I guess there might be some things that can cause corruption in us without our mood having something to do with it. [ Though.. Ange agrees. From her experience, it really often is someone's feelings that seems to cause the worst corruption, and she believes Wu if he says he's really been happy.. ] Does either of you remember anything in particular happening before things got so bad?

[ Either Wu might remember since it happened to him - or Mako might have been in a better mental spot to notice it. ]
