[Transmission 07] [July 2nd]
[CW: Judgement, blood, character death, traumatized Omen]
[The link sparks with red and white static as the view pulls away from a particularly heavy-looking wood door studded with nails, though as the view continues pulling back, it shows a gothic-looking structure that blends in with the rest of the buildings nearby. Only a muffled chorus of screams and yowls reveals what place this is. Just in the peripheral, one can glimpse someone's ear and a bit of a blond, short-trimmed sideburn as well as a bit of open white shirt collar.]
You're in a mood, boss. [Cypher speaks up first, and the viewer may realize they're seeing through the Omen's eyes as they sit on "the boss's" shoulder, looking backward.] That last case get to you?
Cases don't 'get to me'. You should know this by now.
[The view shifts and Cypher turns to look full on at the side Wesker's head as the Sleeper strides on through the streets.]
Maybe goin' to the seaside would 'elp. Ye told me you never went much and yer likin' it, since yer lived near moun'ains so much.
May this walk be a moment of quiet contemplation this night?
Awl right.
[They emerge into a small square with a number of Lumenwood flower beds. He passes by them. running one gloved hand over the flowers with an oddly tender touch.]
[The view seems to flex, for lack of a better way to phrase it. Then a huge figure in armor stands there, its form filling the view. Wesker takes several slow steps backward, the view angling up as Cypher seems to crane their neck to get a better view.]
Oh bollocks..
Oh God damn me... [There might be the tiniest note of panic in Wesker's voice]
.
Oh Gawd, Boss.... [The sorrow and fear in Cypher's voice are palpable,]
((OOC: One can approach this as either a transmission they've witnessed or they can come upon this scene

Indeed.
[The view turns back, giving a low angle on someone sprawled awkwardly on their back, minus their head, greenish blood spraying from their severed neck[The view shifts, jostles, confused movement among the flower beds and pattering footsteps on cobblestones. A metal on leather rustle and something flashes in the darkness. A loud gasp suddenly cut off by a wet, meaty splat, and the sound of something bouncing wetly.]
Oh Gawd, Boss.... [The sorrow and fear in Cypher's voice are palpable,]

All right if I 'ave a little bed o' me own? a wee cushion 'll do. Maybe a fish tank for the boss.
[Of course the squid heard that and wriggles its tentacles irritably.]
S'pose 'e's going to need a fishbowl or something, too, at least till 'e's ready to go back to the sea.
[The squid whaps its tentacles at Cypher and spits ink in the Omen's direction.]

Right, sure, back in the sea. But I am going to get a big fish tank, so he's not too uncomfortable. Also, I should probably let Luca know we'll be putting him up for a while.
Luz petted Cypher, then gently picked up her friend.
"Don't worry. I'll make sure you're taken care of."
no subject
The squid emits a low, appreciative squeaking rumble and settles in Luz's arms. Its pupils widen slightly, perhaps indicating relief or even pleasure.
"I think he's sayin' 'e 'preciates it, but 'e's a bit knackered from ...everything," Cypher translates. "But a fish tank would be acceptable."
no subject
She took the squid gently, careful not to squeeze too tight but very eager to get him transported to some water soon.
"Let's get back to the house as quick as we can! No time to lose!"
And she hopped onto the staff, ready to get them all back home.

Shadows might move against the walls of a building, taller than the black clad figures who approach, corvid masks hiding their faces, carrying leather satchels, some leaning on long staffs of their own. They pause, bowing their heads to Luz, and waiting, almost like crows about to inspect the body of a flock member.
no subject
"We'll take the staff, faster that way."
She paused at the figures, looking defensive.
"I'm taking him, ok? If you need to inspect th-the body, you can see it there."
no subject
"He wants it this way," adds the shortest of the figures says, raising their beak toward Luz.
The group steps back into the shadows, out of sight. The squid raises the end of one tentacle toward the group, the tip turned up, and emitting a low-pitched squip, as if giving them the thumbs-up.
"Take us away, Luz, we're ready," Cypher says, patting Luz's shoulder.
no subject
Luz said this through gritted teeth, so yes. It seemed like Wesker had fans. She'd have to ask about this later.
When Cypher brought the awkward silence though, Luz nodded eagerly and jumped on the staff.
"Oh thank Titan," she muttered. "What a day. I really hope this isn't a preview of what this month has to bring."
no subject
"Considerin' what fings the boss got up to, maybe The Reckoning will 'ave had enough and leave everyone else alone." The squid lets out an approving if irked sound. "I wasn't implying anything, boss."
no subject
After all, Luz could see ghosts, and that means she saw some pretty gruesome deaths: the gathering, however, reminded her a little bit of the factory, a memory she was perfectly happy not thinking about for a long time.
"I won't tell," she said, giving Cypher a wink. Well great. Now she couldn't tease Wesker about that, which would have been fun.
"I'm sure Wesker appreciates that," Luz said, chuckling, "however grumpy he seems about it now. But I think his mood will improve onve we get him into that water."
no subject
The squid emits a low squelch of agreement, its eyes closing sleepily as it winds its tendrils closer about Luz's arm, clearly welcoming the thought of a tank to rest in.
no subject
She didn't waste any more time though. The sooner she had Wesker in a tank recovering, the better. Hopefully no one at the house would object too much.
no subject
Cypher glances to the squid form of "the boss". "Take us away. Fink 'e's ready for a cozy bath before 'is trip."
End here?
