My name is Nico di Angelo, a new arrival here and I'm interested in finding some sparring partners. Fighting monsters at The Gate is fine, but it's different from fighting against someone who has a weapon or powers. I typically fight with a sword, but wouldn't mind working on my hand-to-hand skills.

Also, I'm wondering what people do here for fun. I guess I should ask what teens do here for fun, as I'm not old enough to visit any bars. [ Technically, anyway. ]

The other thing I wanted to ask is kind of morbid, as I'm looking for answers about death in this place. If anyone's willing to talk about it, let me know. [ Considering the subject, Nico will just let people come to him. ]

I'm still fairly new - my name's Nara'a Sunvara. I typically fight with a rapier or a sword and shield or a scythe. It depends what the situation needs. I'm not very good at hand to hand but I'd be happy to spar anyway.

I do a lot of patrolling for fun, but I also read things in the Archives. But I'm a bit of a nerd...

Sadly I can't help with the death questions, but I know some people here have answers for that.

Any weapon would be fine, I've sparred against rapiers and swords.
Not scythes, so that would be good practice. My hand-to-hand isn't my best either, but seemed like a good idea to get better at.

I don't actually know any martial arts, guess you could call it street fighting. Just doing whatever I can do to win in a fight.

And as for fun I am afraid I have little to offer there, aside from the Cellar Door has performances, both in establishments and on the street. In truth many of the teenagers here I find could use a little less responsibility and a little more eh... revelry, I suppose.

What kind of performances? These days, I'm trying to balance my life out with fun and responsibility a little better. Too much responsibility wasn't doing me a lot of good.

What were the ghosts like? Were they the same in behavior as they were when alive? Or was it distorted?

The space between life and death here, for us, is being back in the sea as a squid again with no particularly strong awareness or control over how long it takes you to return. If you do. It took me weeks, and I suffered none of the ill effects described by others, which I've put down to 'time spent' for lack of a better explanation.
