[The fairest of them all was certainly not looking that way today. Her left arm was in a sling and cast, there was a bandage on her left cheek and a bandaid over her left temple. There are bruises on her right arm but the major damage is very clearly on her left side. Her omen, Faramund, the giant stag was staying right by her side and all the animals that perpetually come and go and live in her home all seem a bit more uneasy, as if they're glaring at the camera, ready to fight for her sake.]

Oh my! It got so cold so quickly! We're just jumping right into fall! I hope this won't affect the harvest!

We'll just have to pickle and preserve some things a bit earlier than expected! It's such a shame, it feels like we skipped right past the last bit of summer... oh dear, I'll have to check on all the baby animals in the forest. [What if they don't have their winter coats in time? Well, they can stay with her, she can ask ~~her cult~~ the people who consistently linger around her house to help with getting the little ones into her home if winter proves especially harsh.]

Oh ah... which does bring me to my next thought.

While I know it's important to preserve, cure, dry, and pickle things for winter, well, we need some levity too! The boardwalk had all sorts of food and games, but perhaps we can extend that into the town! Help... ease some tension and rebuild bridges.

[She idly rubs her cast.]

If anyone has any ideas on a festival or... anything, do let me know. Perhaps a festival is asking for too much, but perhaps a giant... ah, what is it called? Potluck? It seems a shame to end summer on such a [violent] tense note!

An accident of sorts, yes. A man last month... he just needed me to get out of his way quicker while on the street and I'm afraid he pushed me right off the sidewalk and uh... into a storefront window. I think perhaps he was corrupted. The owner was very upset about the broken window, I'm afraid. The bruises were from others knocking into me or shoving me last month since I am a warmblood. But I went to the Blood Ministers to get it taken care of.

Oh! I've not heard of a block party before! That sounds like fun!

You remember what this guy looked like? The owner shouldn't have been upset at you though since it wasn't your fault. You should speak up when things are happening, I would have walked you home if you were having troubles.

Oh... well, I'm a warmblood. [Does that excuse any of it? No, not even a little.] Actually, it's a very good thing the Blood Ministers take an oath, they didn't really want to treat me either.

Oh! But they did apologize for that at my last visit. I didn't get a very good look at the man who pushed me, though. [She was too busy trying to not cry about pieces of glass being wedged into her.]

That doesn't matter. It was the same way when I found out I was Vile Blood and they kept talking about being rotten. There's no excuse for it, and if anyone gives you trouble let me know.

[As for the blood ministers, Makoto would give them a piece of her mind as well and they'd need to heal themselves.]

I'll walk home with you a bit, and if he shows back up I'll show him how to get somewhere quickly without knocking you out of the way.

Oh, you aren't rotten at all, what an unkind thing to say. I'm so sorry you were treated that way.

That's what I'm trying to say, not everyone here is nice or has our best intentions in mind. You need to be careful.

And of course I don't mind, I wouldn't have offered if I did. It will give a chance to talk more and see each other outside the store more.

Oh, I'm well aware not everyone is nice or has the best intentions but I also think everyone deserves a chance and shouldn't be judged right away. I can handle being called a few names, just because someone calls me something unkind doesn't make it true, after all!

You're right it doesn't. But when they start pushing you around or it gets rough you have to let someone know. If I find that guy I'll make him regret not saying excuse me.

I should have already been walking with you, I know it's not always safe so I should have thought about it sooner.

Oh, you don't have to find him, what's done is done. I'm sure he didn't mean to do what he did. Everyone was very on edge last month, after all. [It's why she didn't call... anyone.]

Of course, they've been a pretty good help, especially with that vine or root incident. Without you or them I'd have been toast.

[Besides the animals would likely be able to spot something off better than Snow-white would and could offer a little more warning.]

Then we'll just be two very good friends having a lovely walk home. And you can get to know my animals better!
