[OOC: This is this month's network post for stuff relating to the Outpost Haven location/player plot]

[The video is once again made from the Staging Point in Crenshaw for Outpost operations. This time it's focused on drawings of the current state of the location; there's a blood ward at the outer wall line and a barrier ward around the bunk house and garden. The outer wall is complete except for the gate and the bunkhouse is complete and has places for a couple dozen people to sleep if they don't mind how close everything is.

There are dotted lines detailing the next phase of construction.]

We're working on making an outpost about thirty miles west of Trench. The outer wall is mostly complete and there's a place to sleep but not much else just yet.

I'm providing food and lodging either in town or out there to anyone who helps with the outpost project whether that's construction, fighting beasts, or providing other skills or materials. Any earth or stone related abilities will be very useful and I'll offer trade items for anyone willing to help with that.

In addition to the materials we're gathering so far there's a useful substance made from Vileblood, Darkblood, and Coldblood that can fuse stone together when applied to the surface of a stone wall or used as mortar so we'll be trading for blood as well.

I'm fighting the pull of the sea, if that's cause for concern. I'd endured something similar not long after I'd first arrived and an old friend returned to the sea very quickly after their arrival. It will pass. [Dryly] Mariana can play with a weaker-willed Sleeper if she wants to pull someone back to the waves.

I'd be willing to step in with blood collection. I've gotten quite adept with my needlework since I arrived year a year ago.

Needlework almost makes it sound like you've taken up embroidery. Do you know how to make blood stones?

One of my so-called 'terrible puns'. I admit to having perhaps too keen of a fondness for word play in my humor. I'll curb my tongue from them in the future.

[More serious now.] I've learned the process, though it's a matter of improving myself through practice. All in good time. The downside of using my own Blood: I am a Vileblood, and for all their potency, a fair number of Sleepers fail to see the value in Vilebloodstones.

A while ago another sleeper developed a method to make vileblood safe for non vilebloods to consume.

Going further down that path might be useful but I haven't had the time.

Hm! [A note of curiosity that manages to sound professional and personal at the same time.] I'd like to meet this Sleeper and pick their brain regarding this path of researcg, if that can be arranged?

You'd have to find them yourself, I haven't spoken with them since. They published in in one of the scholarly journal's at Never Mind's school, a paper titled "A Tincture to Increase the Utility of Vileblood in Blood Ministration". I believe their name was Sayo.

Ideally something could be made that one could consume preemptively, or perhaps even after the fact if suffering from vileblood poisoning.
