Last month, I had the unfortunate issue of losing control of my vampiric nature and lashed out onto a number of people here. I hope you would be willing to accept my apology and if not, direct me in ways where I can make amends. I . . . do not usually need or require blood as sustenance so it took me by surprise.

My apologies. If it helps, it seems I've lost my sense of taste. Perhaps that is penance in a way.

I do not bear a grudge against my own kind. I am simply aware of the realities they live in. They need blood to survive. Their thirst drives them. Not all are cruel and seek cruelty, but there are facts that still bind us.

Much like any animal. If we were simply humans, then we would be called as such.

A matter of biology, I suppose. Substitutes work, but they're not pleasant.

Perhaps, if that sort of infrastructure was in place. Many worlds do not have that.

Being hungry doesn't make you bad, it just makes you desperate.

It would. But it would also mean setting aside greed and fear.

None of which comes easily to anyone.

Most people want to help each other.

It may be true for you, but that does not make it true for everyone else.
