I had a thankfully dull moment earlier today passing ways with a fictional ghost—the Headless Horseman. Nothing else happened. However, I am not accustomed to seeing fictional characters, even ghosts, walking around Trench.

1. How normal is this experience?


2. Have you seen any other ghosts—fictional? From home?


3. If you have an experience as the month goes on, I would appreciate knowing.

The Entertainment Feed is going to screen two movies related to The Headless Horseman tonight. It is thematic to the month and solid entertainment. It may also serve as education and preparation should you be unable to avoid a violent altercation.

The plan will be to do the same for any such ghosts people see that are in available media.

3. Weird that you need it clarified since you're technically me, but all right. Makes sense that I'd want to catalog these experiences in some way, even if none of it is real.

What's solid entertainment is sucker punching out some dude in a Michael Myers getup when he's trying to follow you back to your (fake) room and he can't make it into the building because of a bunch of pumpkins and paper ghosts.

I'd very much like to avoid another violent altercation, and if I could just wake up from whatever this is, that would settle that.

Apparently there are stories about where I'm from, that are considered fiction, on some versions of Earth.

So it's entirely possible we're all fictional, to somewhere out there in the cosmos.

Ghosts...happen.

If you think just knowing about it is weird, trying being one of the people who used to read those stories for fun. It's like meeting a celebrity, but with an extra burst of surreality. 'Hi, I used to have you on a poster in my room! Sorry about that time your boss tried to electrocute your kid right in front of you but haha, no harm done right??' Awkward as hell.

[At least he hasn't met anyone he used to jerk off to. Mostly because he was never really interested in masturbation, a fact that used to bother him sometimes but not anymore, holy fuck.]

I do not wish to meet fictional characters as real people

Ironically there are stories about that too. 'Ooh, wouldn't it be cool if I was pulled into the world of my favorite book and got to meet my crush and fix the plot!' or 'Ooh, wouldn't it be cool if my favorite characters came to life and I got to show them around my hometown!'

But it's not cool. It's really not cool at all. (╥_╥)

My stories about ghosts from back home are second hand, but I trust the source. You might want to ask Luke Skywalker.

I was a ghost of a similar type most of the July, when Mariana was angry. I died, and I didn't return in the usual way Sleepers to, immediately but Force sensitives or other psychics could sense me.

That's unfortunate. Have you died previously or since? Have you, or anyone else who may become that kind of a ghost, died and returned the normal Trench way?

Perhaps he only looks like a character from a story. A lot of people have had their heads cut off, and I imagine very many of them rode horses.

Did you see his clothes at all, or if he carried a sword? Was he wearing leather armor?

[sansa's father hadn't been wearing a cloak when he was killed, but he hadn't been riding a horse, either. could the horse and the cloak have been acquired post-mortem? could it be robb, perhaps before they sewed grey wind's head on? exactly what determines what a ghost wears or rides or retains from life, anyway???]

I'm afraid it's hard to tell very much about that ghost from that picture.

The horse and rider match with high confidence from a film about the Headless Horseman.

However, I did not linger in its vicinity.

Many things in this place seem capable of taking ideas out of people's heads. It does seem a very common sort of ghost, though.

That counts. What ghosts did you see?

They are both based on a ghost story. The first is an animated feature made for children. It is less scary than the other one. However both have scary elements.

Maybe it's why she doesn't remark anything about that part right away. Gives her a little bit more time to think. ]

i saw ghostly versions of the men of the shinsengumi i knew back home
not this month but a while ago
they did not talk or anything though or even seemed to recognize me
they were only very aggressive which is unlike them

Trench likely has ghosts, generally. However, I believe these ghosts are part of an event orchestrated by a Pthumerian. If a different Pthumerian is responsible for the Shinsengumi ghosts, that could cause a difference in ghostly behavior. Like they're from a different serial.

the same thing happened last october. and fictional stuff used to appear all the time in deerington, so i guess it makes sense it happens sometimes here since this world was kinda made outta that one?

and uh, i dunno if there's a written record anywhere, all the locals seem to know about the dream is pretty vague

Four years. [ That's about as long as it has memories for. Which isn't as long as it's lived by any means. But. Memories. ] That's a long time away from where you're from.

I meant like they come back, even if someone kills them.

You could make a written record. At least a partial one.
