I had a thankfully dull moment earlier today passing ways with a fictional ghost—the Headless Horseman. Nothing else happened. However, I am not accustomed to seeing fictional characters, even ghosts, walking around Trench.

  1. How normal is this experience?

  2. Have you seen any other ghosts—fictional? From home?

  3. If you have an experience as the month goes on, I would appreciate knowing.
The Entertainment Feed is going to screen two movies related to The Headless Horseman tonight. It is thematic to the month and solid entertainment. It may also serve as education and preparation should you be unable to avoid a violent altercation.

The plan will be to do the same for any such ghosts people see that are in available media.

[he could do without the purification by fire part, and the fact that he can't imagine purgatory doling out any kind of free food or entertainment that wasn't substandard, so ...huh. it's a weird choice for a soul-holding cell. this hallucination is making a point. limbo? no, that's the one for babies, and it's all catholic mumbo jumbo as far as he's concerned, but...]

That's kind of a to-be-determined. But I guess it doesn't matter where it is if I'm stuck here. May as well watch a movie and enjoy some refreshments.

Free refreshments.

Thank you, by the way.

[perhaps something is punishing him if everything's unavailable.]

Jury's still out on that, too. Let's go with less than best, since it's an easy reach. People treat each other like that every day.

[what he's not saying: he is just not interacting much at all. except to run a bar tab. (half of which is bottles he takes back to his room, which he still expects to be run out of at some point) can't much objectify what you don't see. which surely will not be a problem later, in this month of loneliness, his own patron the pthumerian of the lonely. how can that backfire?]

At least someone's thinking of the dicks. 'Cause we're sure not.

[it's an easy default to be a bit of a dick, to charge right into asshole territory, too. but he's frayed at the edges and it just feels like a lot of work.]
