( This is not Peter Graham, though of course, posting anonymously takes away that possibility. The user didn't want to use the boy's network handle, to inevitably be seen through the filter of "Not Peter."
The user is trying to define his own identity. )
why did you choose your title here on this THING
what is the meaning
?
?
( ...Texting is still something he struggles with, though the demon has been watching and learning and forming his own conclusions on how to do it. Autocorrect is a life-saver. Two questions get two question marks. ....Even if they go in the wrong place. )
i will grant you a
GOLDEN COIN
if you
RESPOND
( ...For those who know Paimon fairly well, that particular offer of exchange might betray who he is. But the demon of Knowledge is curious to hear reasons, and within them: perhaps stories, memories, self-perceptions. There is a meaning to everything, whether simple or complex.
And perhaps by the end of it, he will know what title he would give himself, here on the network. )

If anything, they've shown themselves to be rather
detrimental
to the health of my companions. And innocent people.
[Hahahahahaha. Hah.]

He is silent for a very long time, before the reply finally comes. )
where i am from demons are not meant to be the word
detrimental
how ever they still can be it is very complex
( Something neither good nor evil, but transcending those concepts — his kind of demon is meant to serve a Purpose. )
are demons only detrimental in your world
are there none who assist humans
?
?

[To borrow the words, there.]
[They may not have been meant to be problematic, but even before the Minus Wave... they had little love of humans. It's hard. It's difficult, complicated. And Hakkai is not the man to explain things.]
[His personal disgust, hatred, will inevitably color things.]
I'm hardly the person to discuss such things. I have a personal bias, you see.

Of course, this is the first time he's publicly come on the network and spoken to people like this. Openly told many of them what he is. In this moment, he is glad that he chose to remain anonymous, for he doesn't know what this person might be capable of. What that... personal bias might entail. Whether it would make them fearful, abhorrent, or dangerous. Being Paimon, he just outright asks, though there is no guarantee this person may respond truthfully, or at all. )
a personal bias against demons
do you wish them harm
?
( However the outcome, he will make careful note of this interaction, of the username attached. It might be wise to keep Peter away from this person, though admittedly Paimon is also intensely curious to learn more about them... )

[Which is... the simplest answer, isn't it. It's still complicated. He loathes those who strike out, those who turn to violence and murder as their first options. The irony of that... it's never lost on him. But it's also not something to explain to a stranger.]
There are those we have met who have been perfectly amicable. I may dislike them but
I do not go out of my way to harm them.
[Not anymore.]
If they wish harm on my companions, then it is another matter entirely.

protecting the ones you care for is
important
( This person having a bias against demons is still something to keep a certain caution towards, but at least they can still hold a conversation with one. And Paimon certainly grasps the importance of protecting those precious ones. Ironically, it's when he himself becomes most violent, these days. At least, when this place isn't affecting him in some dark way. )
i shall give you the knowledge that i am not the only demon in this place
how ever
those i have met here are of all kinds
and none of us would wish to harm some one who had done us no wrong
no subject
[Even though, those people aren't here. Those people may never be here, and he's doing busy work each and every day to try and forget the fact. This conversation has proceeded to drag that into the light again.]
In that case, you are all a rare sort indeed.
No capturing priests to devour their eyes, I take it?
[..... HAKKAI YOU CAN'T JOKE ABOUT THAT WITH PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW YOU'RE JOKING.]
no subject
i have not done that how ever there is a man in this place whose tongue should have been eaten out
it did not happen
how ever
it would have been just punishment for he speaks many poisons of those who are undeserving of it
( Ah yes, Johnny Lawrence, the man who can deeply offend demons in a heartbeat...... he came very close to losing his tongue.... )
no subject
[Frankly, he's not sure how to take that. It sounds like a threat as far as he's concerned, but, on the other hand? Hakkai has his terrible biases.]
Do you intend for it to happen?
no subject
my witch does not wish it to happen
( Luna Lovegood told him he wasn't allowed to eat out the man's tongue )
how ever
he was greatly harming my precious one with his words
it would have been a just punishment
no subject
[Ahh well. As distasteful as it sounds - Hakkai of all people has absolutely no room to judge. No room at all.]
In such case, I suppose I should refrain from throwing my stone in this glass house.
