I would like to pose several questions regarding bloodstone gems.

Robby has had some luck in gathering information from Nevermind when discussing blood pollution and attempts to balance it. The pthumerian stated isolating specific abilities from the bloodtypes into gems could be an avenue. Darkblood comes to mind, the reality bending abilities used to warp the pollution or corruption directly from the environment.

I've done some initial testing with little success, hence this post. Does anyone have experience with making bloodgems they can share?

Are there bloodgem jewelers in the Trench you can recommend? Any information found in the Archives that can be useful?

For that matter anyone interested in the research is welcome to help or get involved, I am hardly an expert in blood magic itself, in truth. Donations of blood are welcome as well as we continue to look into this.

[ Finally, some good fucking science. ]

I've had considerable success creating bloodstones in the past. Dark, cold, pale, and vilebood are all types I've had considerable experience with, both in forming stones and in using their liquid forms for other applications.

The applications of different blood types in rituals is something I have extensive notes on, as a matter of fact.

Though I'll warn that being a Darkblood has additional effects on the spells I use. If I know who the blood comes from it influences the outcome considerably.

'How' is hard to say, though I can only assume it's a function of Darkblood and the way it interacts with reality.

The actual impacts are as varied as the people I draw them from. For example

[ There's a long pause before he resumes typing. ]

I knew a Vileblood that was utterly obsessed with bright colors and sparkles, so anything I make with her blood tends to come with some sort of sparkly glamour.

I'd want to do more testing before I say anything for certain, but I believe it has to do with my perception of them. When I'm not sure who the blood is from, or I don't know them very well, any additional or alternative effects are either significantly lessened or entirely lessened.

[ But, wait, this isn't actually what they were discussing, is it? ]

In any case, that doesn't seem to have any influence on the formation of the blood gems themselves. I haven't even seen any variations in the shape of the end result.
