[The video feed opens up to a ...very clearly staged backdrop with Dipper sitting at a desk with several things laid out around him. There's a few lit candles, a few notebooks. Pens, an ink pot with a quill that he is definitely not using but has it near by for visual interest.]
[He is very clearly hoping to be taken seriously here, so as usual, he is trying too hard. He clears his throat.]

So, hey, Trench, let's talk about ghosts for a second. While it's not super surprising this place might be crazy haunted, based on aesthetic alone, I started noticing an uptick in paranormal activity all around the city about a week ago.
[Dipper holds up a journal where he has drawn out a very nice graph of the raising ghost activity.
Behind Dipper, one of the books on his shelf starts to wiggle free. ]
I wasn't sure what it was at first, because it's not the kind of ghost activity I'm used to dealing with, but the city had apparitions wandering the streets. They weren't very solid and vanished when I touched one, leaving me super cold but otherwise unscathed.
My family couldn't see them, but they were definitely there. Anyway, it's October and I'm sure things will escalate eventually, so I wanted to share with you guys a banishing ritual I've been working on with my uncle. I'll attach it to this post.
I've also been working on-- [That book that's been easing out of the bookcase now just flings itself across the room, crashing into something off screen.]
[Dipper shrieks and whips around.]
[Waits.]
[And then sighs.]
Hey! I'm not talking about banishing you! I'm talking about in the off chance we get vengeful murder ghosts. You know that's a possibility, dude.
[The second book that was on it's way to being pulled out of the shelf stops and then eases its way back into the book shelf. Nothing to see here.]
[Dipper turns back around and continues like nothing weird happened.]
I've also been working on a public record for rituals and spells. A city spell book, of sorts that we can all use. It's only got some of mine in it for right now, but like, feel free to use it. We're still learning a lot about this place so sharing what we learn can only help us all, right?
Also, if anyone needs help with a nasty spirit, hit me up. I've got experience busting ghosts and was kind of the town expert back in Gravity Falls. Stay safe out there, guys.
[Attached to the post is a link to Dipper's Ghost Banishing ritual, as well as how to make the Silver Mirror it calls for. At the bottom there is a link to something called the Sleeper Grimoire which is a public use digital spellbook that the Sleepers have access to add to.]

If it is a unique ability, I wouldn't be all that surprised, since I've got kind of a history with the supernatural.

[He shrugs like none of this is actually very weird for him!]
As for blood, originally I was kind of calling it Glowstick Blood, but I guess the official name is Paleblood. A lot of the stuff Paleblood's can do fall dubiously in the Psychic Medium umbrella, so ghost stuff seems appropriate.
[He perks up with interest at the mention of her blood.]
That's the same blood my sister has. A word of caution, don't lick it.

[She makes a face and has to try not to laugh at Glowstick Blood, but her smile persists when he gives the more formal name.] I think I like Glowstick Blood better.
[She perks up about the same time he does-- he seems to know what he's talking about, so that he knows anything about her blood type is a relief. She smiles, and then immediately frowns at a healing cut on her forearm.] ...I don't think I've ever thought about licking blood, mine, smelling like flowers or otherwise, but now I'm a little curious. [She gives Dipper a wary, curious look.] Should I be worried about you licking your sister's blood?

[Ghost are so far down on the meter, Sumire.]
Oh uh, yeah. Hang on, let me ask if he minds.
[Dipper puts a hand over the feed so everything is muffled, but a quiet "Hey, is it okay if I give your name? No, it's totally fine- really? Awesome, thanks dude."]
[The feed comes back a moment later.]
His name is Stanley. To make a very long story short, he's technically my Great Uncle, but he's from an alternate universe.
[It might start to make sense to Sumire, why Dipper is taking the ghost thing in such stride.]
Huh? Oh! No. It was a willingly given sample, I didn't like. Bite her or anything, that's weird. [...] I also tried to shush her with my hand and she licked me and my whole hand went numb.

[Make sense is probably a bit generous of a concept-- she at least is starting to realize why he's so mellow about ghost things, but it doesn't exactly mean it makes sense. She laughs, though, both at Dipper's fuss and the notion that his sister licked him and his hand went numb. Her voice is just a touch wistful when she uses it next.] That sounds like siblings, all right. I'll take your advice and not lick my blood, though, definitely. It's an odd effect of blood, but kind of interesting?
