Good evening.

In my home, I was something of a healer. As it would happen, my abilities have persisted upon my arrival in this particular world. I've noticed mentions of an illness, lately among us Sleepers. While I'm not certain I can heal it completely, I am more than willing to do what I can to help the symptoms.

Therefore, I am opening my living quarters to anyone who may be suffering. Please, don't hesitate to drop in.

[He pauses, and then adds, a bit more sheepishly:]

Ah - should the landlady raise an issue, ask for "Cho Hakkai". She'll certainly be more agreeable that way.

[And, true to form, if anyone stops by his room in a Crenshaw Boarding House, Hakkai will help with the Leech symptoms as best he can.]

I don't know if I have an illness but I'm fucking exhausted. [ The exhaustion can even be picked up in her voice ] I've been drained since the start of the month, my blood powers are on the fritz, and I'm guessing it's one of those stupid blood effects but the exhaustion has definitely gotten worse. Almost overnight.

From what I've observed so far, it's characterized by extreme exhaustion without a direct cause.

If that doesn't qualify as some sort of illness, I'm not sure what else would.

Yeah, it sounds like being sick. Or maybe a curse? I guess those are kind of the same thing when you think about it.

Either way, I'm sure I can help alleviate the exhaustion to some extent. If it's a curse, then likely I can't cure it... though I could certainly try.

[Trevor's been mostly fine, minus the occasional times he seems to be able to do magic.]

From what I've seen, it mostly entails exhaustion without a discernible source.

It could be a Trench curse of some sort. In which case... I won't be able to cure it. Only alleviate the symptoms.

[ Daniel, having seen Hakkai's ability before, also remembers - even though how tired and queasy he felt back then - how it left the other looking rather tired.

And while he isn't going to flip this table around and turn Hakkai's overworking concerns right back on him, Daniel decides to at least do something productive about it. ]

[ Not that he's sure how many people Hakkai will have to help heal, but.. he could probably use a warm meal to regain strength after it. ]
