It's... always lovely to remember I have so many people who care for me and love me, who won't let me cry alone anymore.

But I admit to not being very hungry right now. I know I should, though.[Because she hasn't all day.] A day of not eating won't hurt, though.

[ It feels better to word it this way. Sure, Chizuru could tell the other that going a day without eating is a very bad idea, and that it's only likely to drag one's mood down even further, but that doesn't feel like it's as helpful of an approach.

It's better to approach this optimistically like this. ]

and it sounds like we would both appreciate some company right now
so that sounds like a plan that might work out

Oh, I suppose... yes, alright. Something small and light would be alright.

[ It's the sort of thing Chizuru usually would never say, but.. well, if it's to convince a friend to actually eat something? She can be brave and say something bold for once. ]

i would feel better as well knowing that you are not alone right now

Alright, if you... if it would help you feel better as well.

[ There we go. Maybe it's.. a little bit pushy, and deep down Chizuru is a tad worried, b-but.. it's for a good cause, right? What's more important than anything right now is that Snow White isn't alone, even if she has to be gently nudged into it.

So Chizuru follows up on her word. Once she's made her way over to Snow White's place, there's a gentle knock on the door. If Snow White opens, she'll spot Chizuru - a tiny smile on her face, and a lunchbox tucked underneath one arm. But even if one of the animal pals opens instead, Chizuru is used to that by now to not even bat an eye at it.. ]

Hi.

[ It's not an overly cheery greeting, but then again - it's probably more appropriate like this, given the circumstances. ]

Here I am. Is it alright for me to come inside..?

[Snow does answer the door but there isn't anything about her usual chipper self. Even when she's injured or sick, she's smiling. Snow's nose is red and her eyes are puffy from her tears. She tries to smile but her mouth only twitches.]

Yes, yes, please do come inside, Chizuru dear. I'm such a mess. [She lightly patted her hair.] I'm sorry I'm not in a better state to receive you.

Oh, please don't worry about it.

[ Chizuru's voice is gentle, and she makes sure to keep the smile up on her face. Nothing too big, since she sure doesn't want this moment to be overwhelming for the other, but more something to keep at least the spirits light on Chizuru's end, to not add to all this sadness.

She wants to bring something brighter and happier into this house, after all.

The young woman carefully steps into the house, ready to follow Snow White further inside. ]

I'm just glad to see you at all. [ Even though Snow White is.. obviously not looking like she's doing too great. ]

That's so kind of you, Chizuru, thank you.

[She gestured for Chizuru to follow her.] It always feels like you're here when things go wrong, thank you, Chizuru, dear. I really... I wouldn't be able to get through these tough times without all of you.

[ There's a small surprise coming from Chizuru. A little 'ah', sounding half-surprised and also half-flustered at what the other is saying. She ducks her head a little, perhaps to hide the way her cheeks faintly colour with a paleblood blush. ]

It's just.. I want to look out for people here. I'm sure a lot of people feel that way. [ Especially when Trench is already cruel enough. That just means they have to rely on each other even more, right? ] It'd be too sad if you were all alone during a time like this, right..? Knowing that, I can't leave you alone.

[Even in her sadness, Snow White smiles, wrapping up Chizuru in a hug.]

What a noble heart you have, Chizuru. Thank you for being here with me. You're right, facing so much alone is much too sad.

[ O-Oh--

Between the hug and being said to have a noble heart of all things, Chizuru isn't quite sure which one she's more flustered by.. Especially when she was already flustered a moment ago. This is the rare double fluster..!!

Still, she does accept the hug. After a timid moment she even manages to raise her own arms to wrap them around Snow White in turn.

The other is the one who can probably use a hug the most right now, after all. ]

Well, I can definitely stay a little bit..

[ At least until one of Snow White's other friends shows up. Chizuru knows it's just a matter of when, not if. The other girl has to be beloved by many people. ]

Maybe we could even watch a movie after eating. Have you ever seen a movie? I only learned about them a little while ago, but they're really fascinating..

I have seen movies, yes. Not terribly many, though. But it was very common for Rose and I... for Rose and I to... [She inhales, reminded of some of their nights in, sitting on one of their couches and watching a movie, cuddled up to one another with a bowl of popcorn and a plate of treats Snow White had made. She feels her eyes burn but smiles.] Yes, I know what movies are. That sounds nice. Something with a happy ending, though.

Of course..!

[ Despite it being something Snow White and Rose shared, Chizuru doesn't back down on the idea. It's a little tempting, since she's nervous about doing the wrong thing here, but.. maybe it's a good thing if she makes sure Snow White has memories of movies that don't just involve someone she lost.

So she can associate them with good memories of friends instead.

Chizuru backs out of the hug a little, but it's mostly so she can gently grasp the other girl's hands into her own. ]

You know, I actually only watch movies with happy endings.. I can't handle anything else. [ It's a bit of an embarrassing admission, but it's on purpose. Trying to draw Snow White's thoughts towards that instead, especially when Chizuru adds a little shy giggle. ] So I know a lot of those by now..! If there's anything else you like in a movie, maybe I can find one with that too!

Well, I do like movies with singing in it. [She sniggled, wiping her eyes.] I don't like stories without happy endings either.

There is enough sadness in the world, I don't need it in my stories, too.

But I don't have much preference in anything else otherwise.

[ There's a moment where Chizuru seems to think. It's quite a deep thought, but nothing too heavy. Sure, Snow White is hurting, but.. Chizuru is trying to think of ways to cheer the other up, and that feels good. It feels productive.

It's nice - just being able to help someone like this. ]

Oh, if you like movies with singing, and with happy endings..

[ Another moment of thought, but then Chizuru seems to have figured something out - a movie that was shown to her as well. ]

Have you ever seen Singing in the Rain? That movie might be perfect!

Well, I shall put my trust in your hands on the movie. It... It will be fun to watch it with you, Chizuru. If it's a modern movie you may need to explain things to me.

It... It would be nice to spend time with you, Chizuru. You're such a wonderful friend. Thank you again for this.
