Just 'cuz we're friends and we say that we're friends doesn't mean my feelings for you magically disappeared that day. ( a beat. ) — I made a truce with Cait for Vi's sake, but that doesn't mean she and I are now palsy walsy. I still fucking hate her and I still want back in the ocean.

Chizuru tries to think about it while she's walking here. It kind of feels that if all of that is true, then she should be just as troubled as Jinx is about all of this. And.. it's not like she isn't, but she finds most of her worried feelings being more about Jinx's current state than about anything Chizuru herself is feeling. She bites her lower lip a little as she thinks about it. Is it just that something is wrong with Chizuru herself..?

She doesn't say anything about it, not out loud. Instead there's just silence, and then a quiet: ]
I'm sorry if I'm hurting you.
[ At least it doesn't sound like she's freaking out again. Not that there isn't some sadness in her tone, but at least she isn't crying either. She's still just.. slowly walking and supporting Jinx, even with the quiet apology. ]

( she finally turns to glance at the other now, noticing her less chipper mood and look. jinx nudges her linked arm to hers with a light smile of reassurance. )
C'mon, buck up. It's not your fault the love game is whacko. It's what it does, y'know? It sneaks up on us when we least expect it, and then we gotta deal with the bang afterwards. I know a lotta about bombs and lemme tell ya: truth and love bombs are the deadliest shit out there.

I still feel a little bit guilty. [ She admits - doing her best to be honest here, and to remain calm about it at the same time. It's a difficult tightrope to navigate, but so far it's not going too badly. ] Or maybe it's just that I wish there was something I could do for you. But.. maybe all I can do is just root for you to feel better.
[ Because Chizuru wants her to! She doesn't want Jinx to get hung up, or to have to deal with difficult feelings.

In that case I hope you realise that I'll be here anyway. [ Even without love. Even if it might be difficult for Jinx sometimes, and even though Chizuru worries about that-- she can't just leave the other alone. ]

[ Her voice is a little quiet, but it doesn't sound like Chizuru is lying. She'd look at the other, but.. well, that's kind of hard when Jinx's head is on her shoulder, so instead Chizuru looks right ahead, at the slowly approaching house. ]
.. or, um.. I'm a little worried about you. [ Since that had been obvious. It's the entire reason Chizuru came to look for the other girl, after all. And she's a little more worried knowing about all the feelings Jinx is dealing with. ] But aside from that, I feel pretty happy right now.

There's a little pause - though helpfully covered up by the fact they're in front of the house now, and Chizuru needs a moment to try and grab her keys while also not really letting go of Jinx - if not just since the other looks like she'll drop right onto the ground and fall asleep there if Chizuru isn't supporting her.
But once she's got the keys in the lock, Chizuru does glance over at Jinx again to speak up. ]

( usagi, her other bunny she keeps an eye on. not as closely she had been with chizuru, but she knows the other girl had been having some downs and probably worries if her girlfriend is next to disappear on her. and if that day comes, jinx is well prepared to throw all of her time to make sure usagi is safe, stays fed, and provide all the comfort her needs. )
