[His transmission is short. He sits at home, holding his Omni up in front of him while his fox omen sits in his lap, curled up. Possibly one of the few times it wasn't causing all sorts of chaos.]

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I figured there would be at least a handful of you who would like to know.

[He pauses for only a moment.]

If you knew Manabu Yuuki, he was killed. I imagine he won't be back for at least a few weeks or so. His corruption had gotten the better of him, so I made sure his death was quick and painless.

Sure, sure. I'll pick out some things.

[Michael doesn't quite know what Manabu's favorite clothes are or anything, but they also haven't been here long enough for anyone to have a particularly extensive wardrobe. He just picks out the things that seem most comfortable, and heads along afterwards. It's no big deal to wander around until he sees some fancy stairs - he knocks, and calls out:]

Hey, uh - [shit did he not get that guy's name?] - this the right house?

[Michael doesn't have to wait long. No sooner does he call out does Childe open the door and give him a friendly wave and a warm smile.]

Hello! Good to see you found the place easily enough. I really can't thank you enough for dropping by.

Oh, it's no trouble. I never got to know Manabu all that well - he was more Amara's friend than mine - but housemates should still look out for each other.

[Gosh, maybe he should spend more time with the guy? It hadn't been at the top of his list, back when Deerington was completely falling apart, but things are a little easier here. He's got time.

Michael lopes up the stairs, offering a small bag he's brought.]

Took some of his clothes, and the stuff I found in his bathroom. Better to have too much than too little, right?

Hehe, that certainly holds true most of the time. I'm sure all of this will be helpful.

[He takes the bag, nodding in thanks to Michael.]

By the way, you can call me Childe. I'm afraid I never caught your name. I'm sure Manabu will ask who was kind enough to drop his things off for him.

It's no problem. I'm Michael.

[He offers a handshake.]

Manabu and I were living together in Deerington, so we're just doing the same thing here. It's Amara's house, really, but she's not...here. Yet.

[He takes Michael's hand, offering a firm handshake.]

That is always the operative word, isn't it?

[Yet. There were too many situations, usually negative, that he could associate with that word.]

I hope we'll be saying it less here in Trench. Though I'm not very optimistic about that at the moment.

Well, it hasn't really been that long.

[Granted, he's got a different relative sense of time, but like...even for humans it hasn't been long.]

The welcome here was a lot nicer, at least.

[He only chuckles quietly- on some levels, that was true. In others, not so much. But that's a thing of the past.]

One certainly can't turn down free food after you've been swimming in the ocean for an undetermined amount of time, hahaha.

[He nods once more at Michael, another acknowledgement of thanks.]
