I take payment and wagers in liquor, for the record. Still haven't found a proper bar around here.

[ She laughs, though, shaking her head. Anyone who uses finger guns is probably fine, in her book. ]

Apples go brown after a while, though. I can get you juice boxes, maybe.

[Then he snorts at her very good point about how apples go brown.]

Yeah, if this place doesn't have whiskey OR juice boxes, we're in trouble.

[He snorts and considers for a moment.]

So, if I told you you can find a whole ton of liquor in Cellar Door can I still get those combat lessons?

Is it that stuff that's made of squid spit, or something? Is it good? [ She cocks a brow at him. ] Yeah, we can train. You have any fighting experience at all?

[A pronounced frown.] Mmmnope. I've got no idea what you're talking about. [Yes he does and he's not trying to hide it.] I've only had one restraining order filed against me. I'm practically a model citizen.

[He makes a face.]

Dude, squid spit? How would you even ferment that? [Now he's going down a mental rabbit hole on that and forgets to answer her questions.] I guess if you… no. Well, what if- no, that wouldn't work either…

[ She chuckles at him, shaking her head. ] You're full of shit. [ She grins. ] One restraining order, huh? That means you only got caught once.

[ She folds her arms over herself, considering him a moment. ] Shit, I don't know. This place is all sorts of crazy. There are no rules, really.

[He winks casually.] Bet you can't prove that in court.

[Then he snorts and nods in concession to her point.] Can't argue with that, I've seen a lot of weird shit in my life, but this place is not just on another level, it's on another plane. Probably literally.

[ She just shakes her head at him, stifling a smile. ] Yeah, you're probably right. Guess there's no real hoping it's any better than the first place, right?

You mean Deerington? I actually missed that party, but I've heard a thing or two about it. Sounds like it was a real horror rager.

Though I don't exactly know all this place has to offer, I guess.

Keep an open mind, I'm sure Trench'll be the rare sequel to a franchise that tops the first in every way.
