Um, hello!
I'd like some advice. I would have made this anonymous but I know even less about working these devices than I do about my smartphone from home, so I'm sorry about that! I feel like advice is better given in anonymity.
Say you're starting a new form of employment in a new place, and the air around the job is ... a little unsavory. Do you start working without telling anyone, to have a better understanding and personal take on the work itself, or try to come to an understanding of the position with your peers first? I don't think anything is specifically dangerous, it's more of a historical morality issue.

Well, I think I should be able to manage, at least. Though maybe I'll let them know what I'm doing so in case I do have a problem, it isn't a surprise. But hopefully I won't!

I wound up down a well with a very angry little spirit that was approximately the size of a child upon first arriving... Not the greatest welcome, but I think I'm mostly just glad I survived!
Yeah, that seems to be the best option... At least then there's no surprises.
