[Good late morning, Trench. Have a REALLY excited Usagi (what else is new) who is finishing up wrapping something with a giant pink bow. She waves to the camera.]

HEY EVERYONE!

[She grins wide and big, fang-free for those who might be aware of what she's been going through the past few months.]

Do you know what today is?... Don't say Sunday.

NO! TODAY IS MAKOTO KINO'S BIRTHDAY!

YES! That's right! The amazingly beautiful, strong, talented, protective, best cook in all of Trench and I WILL fight you on that if you try to argue with me otherwise Makoto Kino has her birthday today!

So don't hesitate to wish her a happy birthday!

And for those of you who DO want to get her a gift... not that she expects one because she's Makoto and she's super humble like that, but if you want to get her something! Then she likes any and all cooking supplies, anything with pink roses on them, or hey pink roses themselves, or potted plants, and tigers!

It's not any trouble, anyways. I've gotten pretty good at growing bigger stuff like that.

[And indeed, later that afternoon there's a dog-sized orchid mantis showing up at the house. In her knife arms she carefully holds an entire pink rosebush, one that's been potted in a large monster skull. She chirps happily, leaving it there before bounding off.

[The skull was an odd choice for a planter, but Makoto still enjoyed the bush and made sure to thank the mantis giving it a small treat and a thank you card to take back to fern.]

Yes, seriously! And oh my gosh, she'll love it! Especially since it'll be something she can take care of long-term!

Right! At first I was thinking a rose, but I dunno how long just one flower'll last here, especially now that it's winter. A whole bush has a way better chance of surviving.

Under Mako-chan's care, anything will survive. She's incredible like that. [And also the Goddess of Plants, so.]

She is, I'm so happy she's in my life. She's seriously one of my best friends. I love her and want to do everything I can to help her dreams come true.
