[She grins wide and big, fang-free for those who might be aware of what she's been going through the past few months.]

Do you know what today is?... Don't say Sunday.

NO! TODAY IS MAKOTO KINO'S BIRTHDAY!

YES! That's right! The amazingly beautiful, strong, talented, protective, best cook in all of Trench and I WILL fight you on that if you try to argue with me otherwise Makoto Kino has her birthday today!

So don't hesitate to wish her a happy birthday!

And for those of you who DO want to get her a gift... not that she expects one because she's Makoto and she's super humble like that, but if you want to get her something! Then she likes any and all cooking supplies, anything with pink roses on them, or hey pink roses themselves, or potted plants, and tigers!

[Not one Valentine in all of that time, but no one had to know that].

Cake? Oh, devil's food, I guess. Why do you ask? Competing with Lysithea?

We were collaborating a little, but I do still plan to open my own shop eventually. But now I figured if I found out now I could make sure to have it ready for your brithday.

Since you're doing something for mine I'm going to return the favor.

What? Aw, you don't have to do that! Wait, you just said that to ME, so...

Which part am I supposed to be forgetting? Because I make a point not to forget about my friends or their birthdays.

I meant about me saying you didn't have to do anything for me, since I definitely intend on still making sure you enjoy your birthday!

Alright, so we'll both do something special for the other to celebrate their birthday. But still don't go overboard or anything.

Why wouldn't you want that? Is that only a thing Usagi-san does?

I'm just not used to my birthday being that big a deal. I know Usagi makes it sound really important, but I don't know. It's just strange that I'm turning eighteen here, but if I went home I'd still be sixteen.

Oh right, because of the strange jump in time?

In American culture, either of those ages usually is the beginning of the push into adulthood though! I can kind of see why Usagi is so excited about it. Also, she loves her friends, and I can totally get behind that!

Plus she really likes cake, and a birthday always means having a cake. But yeah, it's strange to think I'd be graduating and figuring out what to do as an adult.

Well, I think you can pretty much start now, because the prospects of what you can do are kinda really open now, aren't they?
