[The video begins with Winter standing in front a fairly ordinary wall. Unlike most times she’s no longer wearing her Atlas uniform. Instead she’s adapted and now appears more like one of the native hunters of trench. She takes a moment to compose herself before speaking.]

It seems that many of us are starting to settle and adjust to this new place, but we all know that this peace and time of adjustment is only temporary. Before long there will be something that comes along and threatens it. The hunters of this world have already organized patrols, and have their own system of keeping threats at bay. But I believe that we all know that while they mean well, there are those that they can not expect due to our arrival.

I am Winter Schnee, I was a combat specialist for FEAR and in James Ironwood’s absence was responsible for running TRUST in Deerington. I also was a specialist in the Atlas military in a world called Remnant that quite a few of us are from. In that world there are creatures called Grim that Hunters and Huntresses protect humanity from, similar to what the hunters of this world do. I am not proposing the formation of another organization such as FEAR, especially not after the horrors that were revealed of its foundations. Rather I wish to gather a group of volunteers among those who are hunters, or who have combat experience, to come together to form special teams. These teams would respond to calls for help as a unit, fighting and supporting one another, and most importantly keeping one another in check. This would a response team specifically aimed as supporting other dreamers from any threat.

Secondly, I want to be able to offer combat lessons to any who wish to learn in a structured, secure, and safe environment. Because there will be times when we are not able to respond quickly enough, when you will need to be able to defend yourself long enough for help to arrive. Hopefully with adequate help we would be able to offer training in a variety of levels from basic combat to specialized weapon training for those that plan on becoming hunters or huntresses.

And finally, this group will serve to patrol ourselves. To mitigate and manage the threat that we pose to ourselves and to this world. The hunters talk about corruption, and I have seen what happens when too much power and responsibility lies in one place. I want to ensure that check and balance remains in place, so that we can fully support and protect all dreamers and natives of this world.

That is part of it. But not just the hunters, all of the dreamers and any threat to them.

In addition I want us to keep an eye on the leadership of the hunters and blood ministers, the purpose is to establish a checks and balance system.

Not sure I like the way the last Blood Minister looked at me.
They're creepy, you know that?

So, then, that brings us to the rub.
You don't like me probably, and I don't necessarily like you.
And we don't have a whole lot of reason to trust each other.
But are you able to work with me?

They look that way at most of the hunters. It seems that the relation between the two groups is strained.

You're right, I am hesitant to trust you because of what I know happened in Remnant. But I know that you do what you need to survive, and in this world that means cooperating with one another. You seem to have redeemed yourself at least a bit with the time you have spent here, so I am willing to give it the benefit of a doubt if you are volunteering.

But if this is a trick or some plan to sabotage everything, I will take care of you myself.

I'm good at killing and not dying.
That's not really the same thing as being good at surviving, but you have the idea.
I want this place to be safe when Emerald finally comes, so...
I can agree to a lot of things if it helps that goal.

And please. If you weren't ready to do that, I'd probably laugh in your face.
I assume you're more than capable of trying if it came to that.

You're right, it's not the same. But it's close enough for the purpose of this team. And if you want this place to be safe for her then we have to trust one another to have our back, even if we don't agree on anything else.

Trust me, I'm capable.

One thing I like about you, Schnee.
You're not an idiot, which is kind of refreshing at times.
I kind of figured you'd understand the difference there.

I believe that I can trust you to have protecting the town in mind.
And I personally am mostly done with the whole "Burn it all to the ground" schtick.
I want there to be something for Emerald and Roman to come back to.
So, I'll protect this place.

Works for me.

Look, if we can find things like those cure-alls, from the nightmare.
We should stockpile them as a "Just in Case" sort of remedy.
The antidotes were handy.

In that case I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to work together effectively.

Finding them will likely be the most challenging part, but also studying them and using them sparingly will be essential as well.

I leave studying them to the lab boys.
That is really really not my forte, and we both know it.
But we've got plenty of egg heads for it.

I'm in. Tentatively.
I feel like as good as we've managed to get things so far?
We all have to sort of still be careful with each other.
There's a lot of bad blood and worse history here.

But I assume you'll be setting up shop in Prufrock?

The goal is to keep as little blood from being spilled as possible. And even tentatively, any help at this point is welcome and appreciated.

Yes, the exact location hasn't been decided yet but that I where I plan to operate out of.

This place is strange. Our lives are strange.

It can be hard to predict how alliances and allies will change in uncertain times. I would not have expected to find myself siding with fugitives or those wanted by the law, and yet that is what came to pass. Strange occurrences seem to have become something to expect.
