[Usually, Usagi would just make this a text, but this was for Rei.

She took a deep breath as she looks at the camera, her eyes red and swollen, her nose red as well. She offers a wet smile before it falls away completely.

She takes another deep breath.]

For those of you who knew her, Rei Hino went- went home.

[Her breath hitches on that last part but she gets it out without a single sob or tears. Rei would be proud. She's done her crying, though, in truth, she's likely to do more later. Usagi knows she'll see Rei again, their lives intertwined, but it doesn't make her loss hurt any less.

Usagi debates for a moment if she should say anything else, pressing her lips together, and then lets out a breath.]

I know she meant a lot to many of you and those of you who Rei loved, she loved you fiercely, I can say that with certainty. [Rei never loved by halves.

Usagi is silent for a moment and then nods. She leaves it at that, at a loss on what else to say.]

I can tell. You clearly love her.

[Not loved. Whether she's here or in the ocean, Usagi's feelings are still just as strong. Vyng's experiences with his own family has taught him that.]

[lightthedarkness]

Yes, I love her so much. She- there is a lot to love about her. She's strong and confident and so ridiculously smart. I could go on and on about how incredible she is.

[spiritwalks]

She sounds like she's really something. [And then, gently:] Would doing something to honor your friend help you feel better? Or do you just need some space for awhile?

[lightthedarkness]

I... I would like to do something for her... just... Just maybe not now, not right now.

[spiritwalks]

Yeah. Yeah, of course. [His tone is gentle.] Take it easy, okay? I'm sure it's what she'd want.

When's the last time you ate something?

[lightthedarkness]

I'm not very hungry.

[The truest sign that Usagi is upset.]

I'll eat later... [Maybe.]

[spiritwalks]

[Oh no :( That's like Billie losing his appetite, which only happens when he's in a real sad place.]

Your body still needs food.

[lightthedarkness]

I will eat later, Vying-san.

[Eating right now will just feel like a lump in her throat, a weight in her stomach.]

You can come over tomorrow night for dinner. But I'm just not hungry right now.

[spiritwalks]

[He could insist on making her a meal, or at least leaving some dried snacks on her doorstep. But Vyng understands the need for space, and how smothered he feels when well-meaning people hover over him anyway. So, he simply gives a nod and quietly says:]

Okay. I understand.

[lightthedarkness]

Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow night.

[At least by then she'll have gotten the worst of her pain out of her system.]
