[Usually, Usagi would just make this a text, but this was for Rei.

She took a deep breath as she looks at the camera, her eyes red and swollen, her nose red as well. She offers a wet smile before it falls away completely.

She takes another deep breath.]

For those of you who knew her, Rei Hino went- went home.

[Her breath hitches on that last part but she gets it out without a single sob or tears. Rei would be proud. She's done her crying, though, in truth, she's likely to do more later. Usagi knows she'll see Rei again, their lives intertwined, but it doesn't make her loss hurt any less.

Usagi debates for a moment if she should say anything else, pressing her lips together, and then lets out a breath.]

I know she meant a lot to many of you and those of you who Rei loved, she loved you fiercely, I can say that with certainty. [Rei never loved by halves.

Usagi is silent for a moment and then nods. She leaves it at that, at a loss on what else to say.]

[So Rei went home? It seemed like Usagi and Makoto had been talking about that not that long ago and now suddenly one of them up and goes. She wondered whether it was actually up to Rei though, and how she was doing now that she was back.

She knew that it wouldn't help, but Makoto still made some hot cocoa and brought it along with some sweets with her as she went to Usagi's room. It wasn't until she was already halfway in that she bothered to knock. It wasn't like Rei was gone forever, but still, it hurt and Makoto felt the pang and longing in her own chest and couldn't imagine how much harder it was for Usagi.]

Can I stay for a bit?

[As soon as Usagi saw Makoto with hot cocoa and sweets, she watched the tray get set down and immediately pulled Makoto close to her, snuggling her, clinging to her, scared to lose her too, all of a sudden. She was terrified she would lose all of her loved ones, especially the girls. She wasn't sure she could do anything without them.]

[When Usagi pulled her in Makoto just wrapped her arms around the other girl. She was terrified that she wouldn't be able to hold onto her, that something might pull them apart from each other. She was scared of Usagi vanishing as much as she was of leaving herself. There weren't any tears or words, just an embrace as she tried to feel the warmth and presence of the small scared girl she cared so much about that was there with her.]

[Usagi was, unfortunately, use to loss. She was ridiculously familiar with it whether the girls were being kidnapped or killed or she was being kidnapped or making the decision to die. She had been forced to even kill them with her own hand. She knew what it meant to lose these girls, to have to keep going without them.

And she still chose to be beside them anyway because she loved them with every fiber of her being. She chose to keep going so long as she could be with them. So long as her loved ones were by her side or in her thoughts, she could always stand back up again. So it was no surprise that having one of her loved ones go home? She knows she'll see her again, just like she knows she'll see Chibiusa in the future. It doesn't make this any easier. Maybe especially because Rei had been such a rock and safe harbor in the storm that was this place.]

Will... will you stay the night with me?

Of course. I'll stay as long as you let me.

[Makoto wasn't go anywhere right now, not when Usagi needed. Atsushi would understand, and the shop could wait, she hadn't announced an opening date anyways. Right now, her heart wouldn't have been in it anyways. She had been hoping Rei was going to be there to see it, but now that wasn't going to happen. Instead she just held onto Usagi and placed a small kiss on the top of her head.]
