3rd Battle | UN: Childe / Video
[The video opens to a bright and smiling Childe, bandaged up across his head. The rest of the bandages are hidden beneath his clothing, because he's bundled up pretty well. You couldn't tell he was injured otherwise. He seems to be sitting on a small folding stool on a frozen lake, somewhere in the woods outside of the city. His fox Omen is holding up his Omni for him in its mouth, because this really isn't something so dire that he needs to be broadcasting it directly through other's Omens. A small fishing rod, probably the third of the size of a normal rod sits on the ice beside him, along with a few buckets, a very large backpack and some other equipment]
Hey there! As you can see, the frost and snow has really settled in now. Ah, it's breathtaking, isn't it? The way that the desolate landscape allows the snow to shine against that bright sky...but anyhow. It took a while to find the time, but I finally was able to find a few lakes out here that aren't completely dead. So, I thought it would be nice to share my favorite hobby with all of you.
[There's a hole that's clearly been drilled into the ice in front of him, a little smaller than he's used to, but it works.]
You see, where I come from, ponds and lakes are frozen over so greatly that you can tread on it as hard as you please, and the ice will never shatter. The fish in these lakes dwarf that of the ones that reside in your normal ponds. And in Snezhnaya, it's always been a great past time to go out ice fishing. It requires a little more patience, but I assure you it's always enjoyable. I'd be more than happy to go into detail about it. And if you want to come, well, I'm here now. Might as well take the few precious moments we have to relax, yes?
[He says that, though he still uses ice fishing to train. He pauses for a moment.]
Oh, and...I've already taken the time to remove some of those pesky traps left over from last month that were laid in the woods. Just the ones that are on the way to these lakes. They were of no consequence to me of course, and you should be able to travel to at least a few of the lakes around here without much issue. No guarantees though.

I can't really tell if you're happy that the traps are gone or not.
[You're welcome????]
It sounds like you had a few out there, am I right?

I mean- I am. Don't get me wrong. I don't want anyone getting caught up in them that can't defend themselves.
Just hard to shake the whole urge to get out there and use them from last month. You know?
[It might be the first hints of corruption talking.]
But yeah. I did have a few out there.

Don't sound so ashamed. I used them personally to train, though they didn't end up being much of a challenge.
I guess if you really want to be effective, I'd try better traps.
[Is that a small challenge? Yes, yes it is.]

Still she feels a bit of a smile come up when he mentions that.]
Well hey- Honestly if they were being used like that then I feel a lot better.
And that's not a bad idea actually. Maybe I could build a whole obstacle course or something filled with traps for people to train with.
It would scratch the itch plus make some different difficulties for people at different skill levels.
You wont get away so easily next time.

[That's excellent. He loves it and welcomes anything that'll help him get stronger.]
Ruby, right? I heard that you're quite fond of weapons, is that true?
[Ruby he has so much to show you.]

[She blinks. Apparently her reputation proceeds her.]
Yeah, that's me! And that's the truth. I've made my own back at home and for some friends here.
Are you looking to get one made?

[And he can offer up some of his services to pay the debt of it as well.]
Having been around so many people from different worlds, it's introduced me to some new ideas for weapons to master. I've been working with a bow, as I am the least adept with one, but I think I've really got the hang of it now. There's not much that Teyvat has to offer me, so I figured I'd ask someone with a bit of a reputation for weapons. Got anything interesting in your stock I could look at?

[And she takes out a red box from the back of her belt and it quickly unfolds out into a giant red scythe.]
This is my own personal weapon. Crescent Rose, she's a high calibur sniper rifle as well as a scythe. Remnant, where I'm from is kind of known for making weapons that serve two purposes. Usually being able to go between long range and short range on a dime.
I've made a few weapons for people around here as well- Dipper Pines has a spear that doubles as a rifle.
Ange and Will beyers both have swords that double as a pistol or rifle respectively.
Sailor Moon has a neat staff too that I put together.
I helped install a gun into a prosthetic arm but the person who had that isn't here anymore.
Basically if you're looking for anything like those I've got some spare parts or the blue prints kicking around that I could put something together.
Or what kind of weapons do you tend to lean toward using? I can probably whip something up that'd work especially good for you.

He also listens intently to everything she tells him, imagining what every single weapon looks like, how it functions, impressed with the duality of it all. The versatility is exactly someone like him would want, so when she finishes, he stands up, motioning for his omen to jump up onto the stool he was previously sitting on to aim the camera at him a little better.]
Mine may be a little trickier. Here, I'll show you what I mean.
[A bow made of pure, rushing water snaps into existence in his hand without warning first.]
First, I use this as my long range weapon. But- [He grabs the bow in the middle, separating it into two hydro blades, hooked on the ends.] I also prefer close range combat, and that's not all- [He slams them both together, forming a double bladed polearm that he twirls expertly in his hands.] I like to keep my opponents guessing. If you were able to create a weapon that does all three of these things, I'd be grateful. You never know when one may find themselves without their power. But for now...
[He reaches up, grabbing towards the top of the polearm and swiping his hand out to the side, forming the blade of a scythe, with the same hook on the end of the blade as his other weapons.. The second blade on the bottom seems to melt into the shaft, and he looks satisfied with the design.]
I think practicing with this will be a treat.
