He moves out of view to reveal a plain wooden bedframe. On it is a lost cause, a mattress that looks like it's been slimed on a 90's game show. Bits of the Sleeper Membrane are already drying into peels. In it are... dozens of tiny eyelids? ]

It's better to tell them sooner rather than later. The longer you keep something from someone, the more annoyed they might become.

From my own personal experience, you might not be able to make things less severe in time. I'd just come out and say it to the person who lent you their stuff.

Better to get things over with instead of trying to avoid trouble.

No, I avoided dry skin because I put stuff on my scars.

I... don't know. I went to sleep normally, and... woke up inside that thing. It was scary and gross, but easy to get out of. My skin feels good?
