[ there is a fair amount of.. fiddling and movement as alisaie sets her omni down upon a wooden surface - possibly a table? - and adjusts it to face toward her with a squint. a small young elezen woman sits across from you! ]

I've no idea if this is even working..

[ she's frowning into the feed, but finally she seats herself on a rickety bench. wherever she is, she's outdoors somewhere, the grey sky overhead, the chill wind tossing her hair. she opens her mouth to speak, closes it again, opens it again.. and sighs. ]

My apologies. Mayhaps I should have written a script. I'm not particularly good at.. this.

[ this being addressing a bunch of people via a video network, apparently. she's gotten much better at speaking with people over the years, but broadcasting yourself is something else entirely!! alisaie fidgets nervously, but finally seems to find her words, because she's making a fool of herself in front of all of trench, gods. she clears her throat. ]

My name is Alisaie Leveilleur, I've arrived only recently, so I thought it only right to introduce myself. I've yet to figure out exactly what to do with myself, so I am happy to offer my hands, should anyone have need of them. I am far stronger than I look, so I could help with any building or repairs, or cleaning, or if you've a mind to learn the art of the red mage, I am happy to teach insomuch as I am able.

[ she has no idea what people's magickal capabilities are like here.. ]

It is elemental magick, so if you have the capability and would like to learn more, I am happy to help.

[ a beat. she fidgets awkwardly again. ]

Well, that is - oh! If anyone happens to know of anyone who lived on a world called Hydaelyn, please let me know. Most especially if that person happens to look very much like me.

[ she tucks her hair very awkwardly behind her ear!! why is this more weird than just speaking to someone in person? she has no idea. but it is. phone anxiety.. ]

But I am looking for my twin brother. He and I look very much alike. I do not think he is here, but I thought it worth asking nonetheless..

[ Phone anxiety is actually one type of anxiety Prompto doesn't struggle with - but he loves to talk under any circumstances, and he has the advantage of being familiar with the technology.

Or is it closer to magitek? Jury is still out on that one. ]

[ ...She is the same person he met the other day, right?? She's gotta be. They wouldn't sound exactly the same. That's just silly... probably. ]

What's his name? I'll keep an eye and an ear out!

[ sorry prompto she's actually a triplet, time to learn a third hard to pronounce name. ]

His name is Alphinaud, we look very similar, though he wears a blue ribbon in his hair.

[ she pauses, shifting in her seat, frowning. ]

I should not get my hopes up, I know. This is a new life, I should look forward, but still.. [ she shakes her head. ] Well, no matter. I appreciate you looking out for him.

[punshots]

[ He's quick to raise a hand and waves it at the screen, shaking his head. ]

Nah, I totally get it! This might be my home now, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't give anything to see my buddies again. They were basically, like, my family.

[ And there's still a few gaps missing from his personal history, some...melancholic things he's a little afraid to remember. But he'll face those when they come to it. ]

You got any friends from home here?

A few, yes, though one I only knew of by name.

[ alisaie had never personally met gaia, after all, but it's nevertheless nice to have her around; ryne and thancred are also good company, though she sees little enough of the latter. it's alphinaud she worries for, however, most of all. ]

Still, it is nice not to feel so alone. Have you found any of your own, yet?

[ It's only a fair question, after what he asked her, but he visibly fidgets, glancing away for a moment as he decides how to answer. ]

Uhhhh, well? Not...quite yet. B-but who knows, maybe it's only a matter of time, heh! Different life or not, I dunno if my buddies would leave me unsupervised for too long.

[ He could be getting up to all sorts of trouble without them! But so far, all he's gotten is lonely. ]

[ alisaie's face falls a little bit, as if she's stumbled upon something sensitive. oops. ]

Well, should you like to tell me about them, I would be happy to keep a look out for them as well. Until then, there are always new allies to be made. I think it is important - to have friends, in a place like this..

[ Aw, crap. That's exactly the kind of reaction he'd been hoping to avoid. ]

Oh - y-yeah, for sure! That's, like, totally a top priority for me. But if you do see any of 'em...there's Noctis, about my height, dark hair, probably lookin' for some place to fish or nap. Then there's Ignis - I call him specs - tall with glasses and, like, way too well dressed for adventuring. Then there's Gladio, who's kinda the opposite. Probably isn't even wearing a shirt at all, but lookin' for something to fight.

[ A beat. ]

[ she doesn't want to make him sad, okay!! :c

anyway, she listens for a moment, before drawing her journal from her leather bag, quickly scribbling down the names and descriptions. one name she might have remembered without help, but three, definitely not. ]

Absolutely. I'm afraid I haven't bumped into anyone matching those names or descriptions, but if I do, you shall be the first to know.

[ He's not sad!! Who said anything about being sad??? Definitely not him!! ]

Yes, it's quite large, I'm still learning my way around myself. From what I know, however, any empty home is apparently free game, and it is safer to live within the city than without.

Riiiight. Given the kinds of stuff that goes on here where it's supposed to be safer? Definitely not gonna skip town anytime soon. Guess my traveling days are behind me for now.

[ At least the city itself seems to be pretty big, and Prompto isn't quite as nomadic as someone like Gladio. He'll hopefully be able to settle in soon enough without too much trouble. He's pretty adaptive, at least. ]

I did, I have a few friends here, one of which had already secured a home in Trenchwood.

[ not that alisaie would have minded foraging for her own home, but better to stay with allies when possible. it helps keep her happy, and sane, as well as offering protection for them all. ]

It's.. well, it's a bit of a mess, but come springtime it should be easier to repair and make into something workable. I take it you are still at the inn, then?

Yeah, for now. Was kinda waitin' to see if any of my buddies washed up before I found a more permanent place to stay.

[ Which given that that still hasn't happened, sounds kind of pathetic. ]
