[Jacob Stone comes from a world of both smartphones and magic (and sometimes those smartphones had magic in them), so he isn't entirely unfamiliar with this. The Omni is a little awkward at first to deal with, but he's managing.

What he isn't managing, is the rattlesnake that seems intent on curling around his shoulders in a cozy fashion.]

Hi. My name is Jacob Stone, I just got here, so there's a lotta new things I ain't quite got the hang of yet.

Uh.

So.

So can y'all tell me if there's an incantation or something to get rid of--of whatever this little critter is?

[The snake looks just as grumpy as he does, for a moment, and hisses at him. He looks mildly offended at the gesture, or maybe the snake might have said something rude.]

I'm not--I don't use magic, I mean, but this thing just sort of appeared outta nowhere and now it won't go. I didn't mean to summon it! But I guess I did and now I don't know how t'make it go away.

[He's just...a little stressed. Being a Librarian whose job it is to find magical artifacts and hide them from the world and as a rule doesn't use magic because he's terrified of it is now in a world absolutely steeped in it, and he just accidentally summoned a smoky creature right out of his chest.

It's fine. He's fine?]

[Klee waves at the Snake Omen as a paw emerges from beneath Dodoco's fur to give a little way]

Hi Daisy! Um I don't think so. Dodoco never told me bad news or anything bad. She sometimes tells when it's getting dark so we can go home. She's always been super nice. [Klee reaches and pets Dodoco who nuzzles her back which makes her giggle]

[The snake waves its rattle at her, seemingly cheered up at being addressed directly.]

Huh. That's...encouraging, I guess. You sure nothin' bad has happened cause of 'em?

[He seems a little disappointed that this is not some kind of horrific forbidding magical disaster. Like, this is actually going to be a good thing? Weird.]

Yep, nothing bad ever happened when Dodoco's around. Dodoco helped get Klee put of trouble when a mean tentacle mushroom had me trapped in a tree. She got a friend to come help me. Ooh, she helped me stop a bad man who took something from a nice lady too. She also plays tag with Klee in the backyard.

[She whispers the next part. Despite the fact her Omen is next to her who rolls her eyes fondly]

But Dodoco cheats! She has four legs and Klee only has two. Um, I heard from other people that they can fight if you're in danger!

[He can breathe a little easier knowing that Daisy's here to help rather than to hurt or be something worse.

Still, sounds like this world is gonna be...a lot. He sighs and looks at Daisy, who shrugs with her tail.]

Sounds like you have a lot of fun with Dodoco. I'm glad that you got a good friend that way.

Snakes can be pretty ornery and sneaky when they get cornered. I think Daisy'll do just fine. But I'm a pretty good fighter m'self.

Yeah, Klee was told to be really careful around snake because they can hurt. Ooh what do fight with Mister? A sword, claymore, bow, spear or catalyst. Klee fights with Pyro and bombs!

My fists, mostly. I can fight with a staff and an axe pretty good, too. I'm not so great with a sword, but I'd like to learn.

What's Pyro?

[A beat.]

...and bombs...?

Wow, that's a lot of weapons. Um, Klee is sure if you ask someone can teach you how to use a sword!

Pyro! Like this! Boom!

[In her tiny hand, a small flame appears that turns into a laser like flower before she raises her hand. The flowers turns into a laser and you can hear it go off off-screen. Klee nods and brings up a ball that looks vaguely like a bunny ]

Uhuh! This is one of Klee's Jumpty Dumpty's. I worked super hard to make sure it blows up just right! [A guilty giggle ] Um, I got in a lot of trouble when I tested out the first time because I blew up a wall. Master Jean put me in time out for a whole week! But it was fine cause I thought of new bomb recipes!
