Angels like lightning, and most pagan gods where I'm from prefer weird rituals where they eat you.

Pagan gods sound like they're really extra. Is this knowledge coming from personal experience?

they are, honestly.

[ it's kind of sad, and maybe deep down on some level it actually bothers him a little, that he and sam gank them, because most of the time, they're old gods run out of their homes by humans taking over their land and forests. ]

personal experience. almost ended up christmas dinner for a pair of them once.

yeah, they were posing as a married couple. they'd move around year to year, giving away these fancy meadowsweet wreaths, which to normal people is nice and all (and rare), but to these particular gods it was an invite to come right in and take a human sacrifice.

i had my brother with me, between the two of us we managed to gank 'em and get the hell outta there before anyone else died

It feels like cheating if they're tricking people into it. Still, the fact you and your brother were able to kill a pair of gods is fucking impressive.

yeah, it kind of is, but i guess it works. they operate on weird rules. can't eat someone unless they're invited in, whatever. it's like those dumb vampire rules books swear by

Being a god where you're from seems lame if you have to follow a bunch of bs rules. No wonder they found loopholes. It's gotta suck to know vampires had it better. [ ...pun retroactively intended. ]

yeah, i always thought that was kinda weird, but folklore is weird and there's a lotta truth to it

I always thought folklore would get a lot wrong given most of the old shit was word of mouth but I've never paid much attention to any of it. It wasn't really useful back home, not unless you were studying it for historical reasons.

yeah, that's usually how it is, i think. back home, i mean. most people don't know there's actually really creepy shit that goes bump in the night
