[The video opens on Sasuke, Lance is “directing” behind the “camera” (omen) with cue cards for him to read, and this music starts playing in the background. Lance gestures widely off camera in an urgent miming to Sasuke to start reciting what is written on the cards.]

[ Sasuke was clearly not expecting the music and he already looks so tired before he even looks at the cards. He’s trying. Honest. His forehead scrunches as he starts to recite, but it’s coming out in his usual flat tone, which is probably not helping anything. ]

Have you ever wanted to be cool… like the other side of the pillow? [ Sasuke looks off camera at Lance with irritation. ] You said you wouldn’t make me sound like an idiot.

[Lance is giving Sasuke the flattest look, then in a hushed urgent voice:] Dude, don’t make it weird, just keep going. No turning back now.

[He has more cards and they go with the music, stop messing with the flow! They haven’t even gotten to the memes yet.]

[ He gives him a look that makes it clear he doesn’t think he’s the one making this weird. Deep breath. He knows people better than you, Sasuke, remember?? ]

Awesome at kicking ass and taking names? Show off some cool ninja moves here. [ … Oh. Wait. He gets it. He rubs his forehead before going to takes a deep breath, and then blows a ball of fire on the cards to burn them.

There. Ninja move shown off. ]

Ninjutsu isn’t about blitzing chakras or becoming one with the shadows. I’m not using these.

[Lance isn’t affected by fire, so he just holds the burning cards in his hands and uses his powers to toss the burning pile into frame as he squints in annoyance.] Oh come on, we hadn’t even gotten to the best part!

[ Sasuke takes a deep breath, before deciding to just do what he probably would have from the start. ]

I’m offering to teach people ninjutsu and taijutsu; it’s the way the ninja in my world perform battle techniques and focuses on utilizing one’s inner life force, also known as chakra, to manipulate the physical chakra around you. Taijutsu is basic martial arts techniques that use chakra to increase the strength of both your offensive moves and your defensive blocks. I believe it will be able to help people who need to learn how to control their new found blood powers and, for those who are dedicated enough, will grant similar abilities to those who have no special blood powers at all. [ He forms a ball of water in his hand, quickly warps it with a wind current to freeze it, and then melts it by heating his palm. ] If you are interested, please let me know.

[ Boring!! But to the point. Sasuke gives Lance a look, like he’s offering to let him wrap up with whatever he wants here. Is that wise?? Probably not.

Lance rolls his eyes offscreen and adds, poking his head into frame: ] Super Awesome Ninja School, suck it Cobra Kai!

[Then he exits frame and has his Omen project a certain video, and the music is still playing:]

I don't know that I've done much yet for you in return. Other than apparently get you involved in pointless dramatics I wasn't even aware existed in this city.

[ He is watching this conversation with Johnny closely just in case, thank you very much. ]

Have you ever heard of anyone moving all of their life force into another creature? Like a dog, or a bird?

[ That is in fact said with the slightest bit of affection, even if Lance did cause him a headache today.

The question makes him pause, though, his face growing far more serious. ]

Yes, but usually it's only done in forms of forbidden jutsus, given the dangers involved in it.

What if you've done it in your sleep?

[ Your sleep? Sasuke looks at her curiously for a moment because if he's legit here, the only person he's ever seen do any kind of jutsu in their sleep is Naruto and that was probably Kurama's doing. ]

Putting the entirety of your chakra into another being would cause your current physical body to die. Jutsus of any kind are also usually a conscious choice. Short of by being manipulated by another party, I don't know if it would be possible. At least not in the teachings I've learned.

[dohaeris]

[none of this is encouraging. she takes another shaky breath.]

I have paleblood, and it's all to do with dreams. I dream that I'm Lady, fishing in the ocean, and she's damp with saltwater when I wake up. My omen, Winter, he goes with her and he says it's true. And he says I could do it by choice, and other creatures, too. But I don't know how.

[retsuden]

Hn. [ Sasuke thinks about it for a moment, before giving a nod to confirm his own hypothesis. ] That doesn't sound like you are transferring your life force. It sounds more like a genjutsu— an illusionary technique that can do anything from placing people under paralysis and forcing their consciousness into hallucinatory worlds, to allowing you to enter and even control the mind and body of another. The blood powers may be what is causing it to happen unintentionally, which makes it slightly different than the practice I've grown up with, but I believe that the basics of it would be the same.

[dohaeris]

Then you may count me as one of your students, though I'm afraid you'll have to find someone else to be your champion in Lord Cobra Kai's tourney.

[retsuden]

[ He actually gives a small chuckle. ]

A shame. Something about him tells me he'd be even more vexed if one of his students were bested by a "chick."

Well, you'll have to find one who can manage more than turning into a true little bird.

[if nothing else she is not risking her hands learning how to fight in this body, thanks.]

[retsuden]

[ A true little bird. That's such... a sweet way of phrasing something usually so derogatory. ]

I'm sure I'll have at least a few volunteers. It seems some are practically raring to go for a battle.

[dohaeris]

[she might be more offfended if she knew he meant 'literally just some girl' rather than, well, little bird.]

They always are.

[before the war starts. when nobody has to die.]

I suppose I should send Renfri your way. She fights, and she could learn more ways to do it. I can't speak to her conduct in a tourney, though. She doesn't always like to follow rules.

[retsuden]

Renfri. [ He doesn't mean to look awkward or flustered, but look!!! The last time they talked, it was awkward, with her thinking he was Geralt and him having no idea what she was talking about. ] We've trained together before. She would certainly be a strong opponent for others to have to face.

[dohaeris]

[whatever happened between them is entirely their own affair, and if sasuke looks awkward, sansa's not about to mention it.]

Well, I'm glad you two know each other, and I'm glad to hear she's formidable. I'll see who's interested, but if you're looking for champions, you might like to speak to someone who's seen the people here fight.

[retsuden]

I think a true champion would be someone who is good at picking up on their training. If I'm to prove myself a good teacher, a student with little fighting experience who rises to the challenge would be even more of an asset. I'm sure someone will show themselves among those who have already requested lessons.

If you can find me a bear and teach me to how to control it properly, I will fight in your tourney as that bear.

[provided they accept bears, which seems distinctly unlikely.]
