Hang in there, everyone... This should just be only a couple weeks more right? The darkness at least. I've been on a planet for so long I forgot how to manage the darkness effects at first...
But take it from me and some other folks who worked or lived in space-
Try your best to keep a routine of "day" and "night" hours so your body has some sense of cadence
It should help you feel less messed up when theres no daylight to rely on
(To say nothing of the bugs which you should already know to be avoiding by now)
I'll try to think up any other good tips but the sleep cycles a big one
If you need help getting around too let me know
I don't mind lending a hand

We're really not. [and she smiles back hesitantly] I'll try. Even though the very idea of going into space when I'm from was only a fantasy. The idea of it being a reality is reassuring.

[nodding with certainty:] More than real. I went out into the stars all the time for my job! And where I'm from, people travel planet to planet pretty regularly.

I wish I could see all of that. May I ask which year you're from? I want to know if there's even the slightest chance I can see it, even if I'm too old to go myself.

[he scratches at his cheek in something of a sheepish manner.]

Auh...Pretty sure it was 2221 or 2222. Too many two's, eheh...

Ah. So long, long after my time. Maybe my great-great however many greats grandchildren will have a chance.

[he frowns a little, then tries to push on a hopeful tone:] D-don't count yourself out just yet! We're in a pretty crazy world, right? Who knows if we'll see the stars again or not?

[she smiles at him] I suppose anything is possible, given the varying givens about this place. But do you think Moon Presence would allow it?

[siriusly]

[his expression scrunches.]

I mean, it'd be only fair at this point, right? It allows a whole ton of terrible things, so why not something nice?

[she looks thoughtful]

I would think so? Though, this is only the end of my second month here, I've barely been here any time at all compared to many others. How long have you been here?

[siriusly]

Umh... [he looks upward, having to count and remember month names.] Eight...? No. Nine. [nod.] Nine months.

[a beat. blink.]

...Nine months...nine already...? [is it obvious that he hadn't thought about it that hard in a while?]

That's quite a while. I'd imagine that the time passes quickly?

[siriusly]

[pensively:] I...guess so. Though sometimes not. Kind of depends on if I have something to do or...I have to sit quiet too long.

[another beat.]

Yes, that does tend to have an impact on how time flows.
