[When the video turns on, Usagi looks... well, honestly downright haggard. But Usagi, when exhausted has a bad habit of masking and thus, acts even more bubbly and energetic than usual. And before you ask, no, she's not fine. But she will lie and say she is.

But don't mention the bags under her eyes, that's rude.]

HI EVERYONE!

[She's waving at the screen excitedly in some hopes to not let on the deep exhaustion she's badly hiding.]

My name is Usagi Tsukino! I uh... met some of you before when we first got here but couldn't really properly introduce myself! BUT I CAN TALK AGAIN! [And she's decided to make that everyone's problem.] Actually, I've been able to talk for AWHILE but ANYWAY! So hi!

Anywho! Do you know what I realized last night? I mean, probably a LOT of people have realized this actually but I doooon't think anyone has said it, or, at least I don't think so! Maybe I missed it! Sorry if someone already said something like this!

[She's rambling.]

Anyhow! I realized that while lots and lots and lots and lots of people may already know lots and lots and lots of other people cause ya know, so many of us came from Deerington, there are JUST as many people who have absolutely no clue who anyone else is or where we are or why we're here! I mean, I'm those last two too, but I lucked out on knowing some of you!

SO! So so so! I thought, hey! Why not introduce yourself and then we can all get to know one another and we can all help one another and it will be awesome and we can be all amazing together!

I'LL START!

My name is Usagi Tsukino! I'm originally from Tokyo, Japan! I love cats and rabbits, food, and video games and my favorite hobbies are sleeping and eating but oh oh oh! I like shopping, making all sorts of new friends, playing video games, reading manga and comics, aaaaaand well actually I can't think of anything else right now!

[Usagi searches the Omni, not the least bit surprised that she finds a video. She sends it to Orpheus.]

So here she has the special picks plus she's using her fingers. And I'm not that great with technology either, honestly. This is pretty impressive for me. My friend, Ami-chan, she can do EVERYTHING on a computer or laptop or any device, really.

[ Orpheus takes a moment to watch the video, not thinking to turn off his recording while it plays. The audio echoes over his microphone (or whatever the Omni's magical equivalent of a microphone is), but it does mean Usagi is able to see the way he lights up as he watches, clearly enraptured. He laughs a little with delight as the video ends. ]

Right! There are a couple of guitarists and banjo players I know who play with similar picks! I haven't seen that technique before, though - at the beginning, where she plays a sort of rolling note with her right hand. It's such a unique sound. Thank you for sharing it with me.

What's a banjo? [She tilts her head.]

You're welcome! I'll see if I can find you some more instruments just from Japan. We have a pretty famous flute, too!

It's another type of string instrument - a little like a guitar, in that it has a long neck and fret board and it's played like one, but the body has the strings stretched over a taut, drum-like skin instead of being made of solid wood. So it's kind of like a lyre, too. It's pretty common in folk music where I come from, but there are a lot of jazz musicians who play them too. I'll see if I can find you a movie of someone playing - it's got a very distinct sound.

[ Orpheus picks up his Omni and begins fiddling with it, though he makes little headway at first. If Usagi figured it out then so can he, he figures, but it might take him a moment. As he works on it, he keeps talking. ]

And that would be wonderful! I love hearing new instruments and types of music. We used to get a lot of travelers from all over the place coming through the town where I used to live, so I've heard a lot, but never many from Japan, or anywhere in Asia, really.

Jazz? [Sorry, Orpheus, Usagi doesn't know that style of music.] Ah but that's okay, you don't have to look for it now.

Well, that's too bad, Japan has awesome music!

Oh, it's a pretty new genre. [ Relative to when he comes from, at least. ] It sort of grew out of blues and ragtime, but there's a lot of other influences that come together to make it what it is, so it's sort of hard to define because of that. I guess the one constant is that there's room for a lot of on-the-spot improvisation in it, usually?

Oh, here! I've got something, if you want it. You can really hear the distinct, almost ringing sound the banjo has, and get a bit of a sense for jazz rhythms here.

[ And he sends over a video. ]

And I'm sure it does! I mean, I don't think there's a place in the world that doesn't have its share of incredible music, but I did really like what you just showed me.

At this rate, Orpheus-san, you should be a music teacher. I should start calling you Orpheus-senpai! [It's nice to see him so passionate about his music. Well, she knows WHY he's so passionate, he's freaking ORPHEUS, but still!]

[ Orpheus laughs. ]

I do seem to be picking up students pretty quickly here! Honestly, I'm just happy to share what other people have taught me? But I guess if you're really determined to pay me back for it...

[ He trails off for a moment, thinking. ]

I don't want to take anything that you might need, but Eurydice and I have been looking for things to furnish our new home over in Crenshaw? If you can find things like - cutlery, or curtains, or any little things a home needs, I'd appreciate it.

[Wait... does he...]

[He needs her to go shopping?!]

Oh my gosh! Yeah! No problem! I'd be happy to do it!

[ Orpheus pauses, not quite sure what she's asking for a moment until he thinks about it. ]

Oh! I'm not sure, really? Back home there was never really much to choose from and in Deerington I mostly just bought whatever seemed sturdy enough to last without being too expensive, but I guess here we have a lot more choices? I'll ask her about it!

[ Honestly she'll probably have about as much of an answer as he does, but at least they'll be on the same page. ]

I can take you both furniture shopping if you want? Then I can get a sense of what you both like style-wise.

Oh! Sure, if you want to! I've never really been shopping for furniture before? Everything I owned back where I came from was a hand-me-down, and in Deerington most things just came with my apartment. It sounds like it could be fun though, actually getting to pick things out!

Well, this is our new home for now, yeah? So now, time to start something new! To try new things! We'll make the home you've always wanted.

Yes! I'm already looking forward to it!

[ And maybe a little nervous - seems like a lot of pressure, having the freedom to put a home together in a more organized way than cobbling together odds and ends, but he reminds himself that he'll have Usagi and Eurydice both along to help. ]
