[He's barely been here but for a few days, but already everything is overwhelming. He's trying to keep it together, but apparently there are other forces at work.]

[His Omni turns on and there's a fuzzy paw covering the display for a moment. It moves away and reveals Nara'a sitting in a small wooden shack, a needle and thread in hand. He's found some rags somewhere and has clearly ripped them apart to form more serviceable pieces of cloth. He's sewing a little bit, silent for a while, before he looks up at what his Omen is doing.]

Hey, stop playing with that.

[He sets his work down and picks up the Omni, looking into it.]

... Sorry about that. I'm... I was just trying to repurpose a few things that I found.

[He's quiet for a few moments before going on.]

I'm new, so I didn't want to bother anyone, and I thought maybe I could trade these for something else. Does anyone know of a place where I could do that?

I'm not the best at weaving, but I'm a fair hand. They should be serviceable, at least. A few might have patches, though.

[Hm. He nods and fumbles with the Omni for a few moments before the broadcast shuts off.]

To answer your question, there's a few shops that might take your work for what passes as pay around here. I've also helped organize an exchange market for this month. It'll assemble once every midweek this month in the Crenshaw District.

[ Then she asks the question she considered a priority. ]

You aren't a mystel are you?

[... Oh! He brightens up a bit and smiles at her.]

That's great. But... Gaia? I didn't expect to see you here.

[His ears flick in amusement as he grins a bit.]

On the Source we call them miqo'te, but yes, I am. How have you been? It's been a while since I last was able to come and see you.

[sansa tries not to look too alarmed. are those...rags? oh no. where even is he? why wasn't he directed to the inn? were all of the wakers out of their minds on lemons, too?]

You can trade little things at most markets and shops, but we do have clothes and provisions available at the Sanctuary in Crenshaw for new Sleepers at no cost. I should be glad to make you a few simple things to wear, and leather armor if you have need of it. You can find me at the Rookery in Cellar Door. The lantern imps can take you there, or to the Sanctuary, if you ask them.

Weaving is largely done in Shiver. It should be easy enough to find employment there, if you are comfortable with the looms. You might take an apprenticeship, otherwise.

Oh, I... saw some of those things. And it seems my equipment came with me in the form of my job stones, so I'm all right with clothing.

[He's still wearing the new person robes, but they're useful. The muck is staying off of him thanks to them.]

I didn't really want to intrude on anyone, so I just... found my way here. I'm not as familiar with looms, but I'm sure I can figure it out.

[ There's confusion when he addresses her by name. Okay so her username was inded Gaia as well. It's just that Nara'a talks as if he knows her. It's followed by unease, particularly when the Source is mentioned. Keywords are recognized.

Then guilt and a touch of embarassment. ]

I'm sorry. I've been well. But... if we know each other, I don't remember. Were you one of Ryne's friends?

[ Ryne had mentioned a mystel on her journey with Thancred, hadn't she? ]

I... yes. Did something happen with your memories again, Gaia? It's Nara'a. The Warrior of L - Darkness.

[He's so used to the Source's term for him... and it's been some time since he was able to go back.]

... Are you feeling all right? Do you need me to come and help you?

[ Warrior of Darkness? Yes, she knew that term. Knew the person. Gaia touches her fingers to her temple a moment. It's not like she's in pain, but it's clear she's uncertain. And perhaps a touch distressed. ]

You're him? I didn't remember...

[ She certainly knows she should recognize Nara'a, just as much as she would know Ryne. Dropping her hand, Gaia shakes her head and looks at the camera source. ]

You're welcome to come over. I suppose I knew this might be possible, but...

[ She looks away, grabbing at an arm with her hand before letting out a long sigh. ]

I'm feeling as alright as I can be. Did you learn how to use the Lamps yet?

[Maul watches the video, thinking it mostly just another new Sleeper finding their way. But it's the ears that draw his attention. This being would look human but for those defining features. So his curiosity makes him pay a little more attention than he might otherwise.]

Tell me, what planet do you come from?

[As for Maul, he looks like a demon but speaks with a soft, velvet-smooth voice that sounds like it should be coming from someone lecturing in a university hall instead of someone with red-and-black skin and horns.]

It's all right.

[Maybe they'll come back to her in time, now that he's here? He doesn't want to push her.]

Are you sure? I don't want to impose... but if you're sure I wouldn't be, then yes.

I've learned, yes. It's a little bit like using an aetheryte in some ways.

[Well that's... new. But he's used to seeing the strange and unusual, and this person seems to communicate just as well as any other from a first glance.]

It's called Etheirys, though many call it Hydaelyn as the former name has been somewhat lost over the years. I come from the Source, not one of the reflections of it.

[ The courtesy of not wanting to impose definitely earns Nara'a some very Gaia-like asperity. ]

Honestly, why would I offer if I'm not certain? [ She relaxes and allows a faint smile to show. ] Even if you weren't someone close to me, I'd still like to talk to someone from home. Or at least knows what home is.

[ Maybe she wouldn't be so quick to invite them to her place but... details. ]

Yes, like aetherytes. Though without the tedious need to attune to one before traveling to it. If you meet me at the Waystation Lamp, I'll guide you to my place.

[ She has yet to put down her personal lamp. For reasons. ]

And you may as well bring everything. Unless you've already found a place to stay?

I can meet you there, yes. And... well.

[He looks around.]

It's not much of a place, really. It reminds me of Gatetown.

[ Gaia rolls her eyes. ]

I'm choosing to believe you're not going to be just as bad as D is about this sort of thing. I'm trying to invite you to live here, you know.

[ Well, D has his reasons. Very good ones in fact. But the man just seems to like finding the worst abandoned places when he's not hanging out in her attic. Gaia chooses not to think of this as a slight to her own living conditions. Speaking of! ]

You'll have to not mind the mess, though. It's certainly livable now, but there's still some projects going on.

[ Like floors. And interior walls. And wiring. Gaia is looking forward to modern conveniences like lights and indoor plumbing. ]

I can help out with projects. I'm a decent hand with a saw if need be. It won't be anything beautiful, but it can be functional.

But... thank you. I'll be over there soon. I was just using this as a temporary place, but... it's not like there's really anything here for me.

[ This earns Nara'a a warm smile. ]

There's plenty of basic labor to do. Don't worry about the fine details, I can find people to trade with for those things.

[ There's a bit of looking about to take tally of what she's involved in doing before Gaia turns back to the camera. ]

I'll be at the Waystation within a bell's time. But don't rush. I'm sure Uri won't mind visiting with his siblings if you've things to attend.

[He glances up as he consults a mental map.]

Yes, I can definitely be there in about a bell. As long as I don't get distracted...

Well, I don't know much about trading those in anywhere..

[ After all, Chizuru hasn't tried to trade anything like that at any place herself. But that's not why she's replying - it'd be a very unhelpful answer, after all!

But if you want to trade some stuff between people, I wouldn't mind trading it for some food. I could even make you a meal! [ Honestly, it's not like she doesn't enjoy doing that for people regardless, even without the trading aspect being involved here. ]

Some food might be nice. I got some from the people on the boardwalk but to be honest... I never got very far in my culinarian lessons.

[He can make a few simple things, but that's about it.]

[He eyes her up a little just to get a sense of the size...]

I think this one I'm working with right now should fit you, if... a little big. I can resize it when I get there if need be.

Try not to get distracted. It's dangerous, even if you're going to use the Lamps. I'll see you soon.

[ And without anything else to bring up she'll end the conversation and go to get ready. ]

[ Oh gosh. Look at this. Chizuru is realising that she's finding a perfect target to heap food upon - because if there's anything she loves doing in this place, it's helping to feed those who have trouble making their own food. It makes her feel pretty useful. ]

That sounds good to me. [ The girl truly doesn't seem to be too bothered. Instead she just keeps smiling. ] You should in return tell me what sort of things you like to eat the most. I'll see what I can do!

[ She's already been introduced to entirely new dishes after coming here, so what's one more or less? ]

Oh... I like a lot of things. I'm fond of fish and wild game, but I'm not all that picky.

[He eats all of his veggies, don't worry Chizuru.]

Where should I meet you? I'm still learning all of the locations here.

Um, I live near where most of the shops are..

[ She figures that - if he's new - naming neighbourhoods or anything of the sort would probably just confuse him. It's better to use landmarks. Things anyone could notice just from wandering through this place, even if names might not necessarily stick in their head. ]

You can come to my house, if you want. It's right next to that shop that sells fish with the big blue sign..

[ That should work, hopefully? ]

Ah.

[Yes, he can definitely find the fish store. He grins a little bit into the camera.]

I can be there soon, if you're all right with that. Someone told me how to use the lanterns, at least...

[And a business district isn't all that hard to find, most of the time. If he needs help he can just ask someone, after all.]

Yes! Of course I'm fine with it.

[ Chizuru smiles a little as she says it. It's just true, after all - if she hadn't been okay with him coming over right away, then she wouldn't have mentioned all of this in the first place.

Hopefully he should be able to get over there just fine if he uses the lanterns too. Chizuru doesn't think there's anything particularly dangerous out there this month, so.. ]

All right. I'll be there shortly.

[And he really is, not taking more than a bell - er, hour - to get there. He did get a little lost and distracted, but he's found a building that fits the description. The smell of fish is making him hungry, but he's got enough self control.]

Ah... hello? It's Nara'a. ... I should have introduced myself before, shouldn't I have?

[Oh well. He waits for the door to open and smiles when it does.]
