Hi, everyone! In case we haven't met, this is Manabu Yuuki. [brief, little wave.]

I've been doing a lot of research about the world outside of this city, and me and a few others went out to check out the perimeter...you know, past the Waystation and that nasty salt lake. There's a west-facing road out there that just...gets swallowed up by the forest.

But it is a road.

I want to go out there. See if there's not another town somewhere. This isn't the nightmare, after all...we're on a whole planet. And we can't be the only ones.

I'm not going out there alone, though: It's crawling with monsters, day and night. So I need backup. A lot of backup. Basically... I need some combat-veteran explorers willing to go out there and see if we can't find where that road leads...or used to lead.

We'll need a lantern, too. And lots of incense. That way, if it's too crazy, we can at least put a new waypoint down for future efforts, you know?

So... So that's it. If you're interested, let me know. I can send you the details if you're serious about it, and we can set out later in the week. Before any...monthly weirdness can kick up, hopefully.

First of all.

Count me in!

Back home I was a Huntress, basically a professional monster hunter and protector of the people. I mean- I still do it here but I just thought I'd say that I've got some experience doing it before we wound up here.

I've also done a lot of country travel on foot.

So if you're going out for adventure I'm in.

I'm still new here, but I'm an adventurer by trade.

That means a lot of things, but one of the biggest ones is that we go out and fight monsters to keep other people safe. I'm... well. As much as I don't really like advertising it, I'm very experienced - maybe not in age but in danger level.

So if you need some extra hands, I'd be more than willing to help out.

Mm... [he looks askance in thought for a beat.] How new is 'new'? I mean, have you dealt with any of the creatures that pop up in the less-populated districts? So you at least have a taste of it?

This towns complete and utter isolation is something that's been bothering me since I washed up here. I've been really curious about what's actually out there, so you can count me in.

I've got years of combat experience, especially in dealing with monsters. I'm also eh, let's just say I'm built extremely sturdy. I can handle rough conditions better than most and I don't need to eat or sleep.

I'm also a photographer, so if you want anything documented I can offer that, too.

I may not look it, but I was a super-hero back home, so I've been in more than my share of life or death fights. I'd need to bring Carmilla, my batkitten, though. I only let her feed on me.

[his eyebrows lift, then pinch with a bit of worry. 'may not look it' indeed...Manabu tries not to judge by appearance, but...]

[ Adventure is thrumming bright and hot in Mako's blood, but even if it wasn't, he wants to know just as badly as Manabu. The world outside Republic City was a massive and sprawling one, and he doesn't want to wait another 18 years before seeing this one. It's time to learn the boundaries of their world, and see who else is out there.

Also, he couldn't possibly let this thing Manabu's been preparing for for months now happen without him. ]

I'll get us some supplies. How many people you expecting to bring on this thing?

Hey Manabu. I'd like to come. I do have the relevant experience and equipment, and could help out with any tech issues [ including cyborg buddy maintenance! ] that might arise. Among other things. I imagine being able to see in the dark without needing any light sources may come in handy, too.

[ It's not any sort of amazing combat skill, but it's a very practical one that'll make it just that much harder for any monsters to ambush the group, and may make scouting easier. Plus... tanky android. He can hold his own while helping keep others safe. ]
