[ The first thing in full view is a slushie shop. But not just any, oh no. It is.. wildly decorated. The kind of thing you can't stare at for longer than 10 seconds without feeling like you get a headache. There's someone standing behind the counter, though they look completely unrecognizable. You know, on account of the fact that they're wearing a slushie mascot outfit. Good luck guessing whose arms those are. Honestly, the person isn't even really standing there. They're more just slumped over said counter, like they've given up on life.

The view lingers on that for a moment before the Omni seems to be switched around, instead putting Ruby into full view. ]

[Ruby looks over to the mascot after a brief pause.]

[ The slushie suit sighs, and the voice that follows it - that's definitely Ange. ]

I thought the agreement was that I didn't have to talk on video in exchange for wearing this.

[Ruby just looks to her for a moment before looking back to the camera.]

Well come on down to the Slush! For all of your cool treat ideas! Everything is made by me and my lovely assisant Ange! With Blood magic!

We've got slushies, Ice cream, smoothies and a boat load of magical fans to help you BEAT THE HEAT! Do you want to be a gross pile of sweat? No you don't! So come down to the board walk where it isn't hot and it doesn't suck!

[ That's when Ange pipes up again. ]

And if someone is going to cause a dumb fuss over at the stand, they're going to die.

[And Ruby slides in front of Ange.]

OF FUN!!!!!!!!!

[And she raises her hands and generates a few ripples of ice with her coldblood powers.]

She looks quite excited! Being a Coldblood, the heat hasn't been a big problem for her. But she still loves some tasty treats! And she just had to see that adorable mascot for herself.]

[She gives Scorpia a wink with her mechanical eye and quickly sets about putting the order together.]

Do you want blue slush or red?

Yeah for sure!

The Big Slush loves getting pictures taken, right?

[ Did she absolutely ignore it when Ruby asked for her earlier?

Yes. Yes, she did. It's the best part of being in this dumb costume. It means she can ignore anyone and no one will notice. Maybe Ange will just stay a slushie cup for life.

It's why she'll wait for Ruby and Scorpia to finish talking first before Ange finally speaks up to the other with a: ]

[The mocking voice emerges from below the counter next to Ange. A moment later, so does Xerxes Break, and he pauses to take a big slurp from the festive purple slushie he was given for his help carrying all the decorations down here. If we are being honest he looks more like their beautiful auntie today actually, but showing up in a swishy dress with zero warning or explanation is really not high at all on Break's customary scale of generic eccentricity. Much more notable is that he has long, long hair all piled up in a messy topknot and he definitely did not have long hair a couple days ago.]

I came all the way out here in weather comparable to the devil's arsehole and this is the disrespect I get. [No one actually invited him, he was just bored complaining to his actual household and wanted fresh people to gripe at while he wilts like a dainty Victorian flower.] I should steal all these fans and go, if I'm so sweaty and gross.

[Ruby gives a tiny little shriek as Break emerges from behind the counter. She had honestly forgotten he had been here for a moment.

However it only takes a moment to get the broom ready in hand and she starts to shoo him back under the counter.]

Maybe you should! Especially if you're sweaty, gross and complainy! You're going to scare off all our customers!

[ Ange doesn't even blink when Break speaks up.

.. not that anyone is able to tell. Slushie cups don't have eyes, after all. But underneath it? She's definitely not even doing as much as blinking. One must always expect the inevitable Break, especially when Ange sure didn't forget he was hanging around. She was just making sure to not address him so Ruby wouldn't drag him into this as well..

Though it seems Break had to pay after all, considering the nature of Ruby's pitch. ]

You can't steal them, they're magic.

[ Is she helping yet.

Then again, it's hard to expect anything more from Ange when she is hot and just Done with everything. Her voice sounds so soulless. The soul escaped a moment ago, during that advertisement. ]

We have cherry, blueberry, lemon, and grape! Or that's the closest we can get to taste like that considering the uh... You know supplies here.

There's also a more grey mushroom mush for the locals that they seem to like.

It probably is, given the fact that nothing else seems to come from the slushie suit for a moment or so.. until she speaks up again. ]

First I had to agree that she wouldn't have to talk while wearing it- Or dance- Or really do anything that would signal that she was the one in the costume.

[sansa looks amused, but faintly concerned. she wears a lightweight grey cotton dress with cap sleeves and silver dragonflies. the two slender braids on top of her head have been gathered into a larger one, instead of merely tied together in a half-ponytail.]

Your slushie outfit doesn't look very comfortable. I could make something in a lighter fabric.

[ Honestly, given her current situation, Ange wasn't expecting much out of the replies to this message.

[ There might finally be some emotion sneaking into Ange's tone for the first time today. A faint edge of hope. Even if it isn't visible from behind the slushie suit, it's very much audible in her voice. ]

[Also because her housemate and...b-boyfriend(!!!) runs extra hot because of his quirk, Ochako's been sort of uncomfortable late night and early mornings before washing herself off and starting her day.]

We could probably make some though. It's not too different from the slushies. I'd add 'as long as you're okay with artificial flavouring', but let's be real, any soda is pretty much 99% artificial flavouring.

[Ada for the most part is wearing her usual style of dress whch meant long with long sleeves, which isn't exactly great in this weather, but she was from Victorian period so there was some reason behind it. Made even more obvious with her questions.]

I have some questions...

For starters what is a slushie or smoothie?

[They had not been invented yet in her time but they sounded nice and she was interested.]

Finally... What is the purpose of these jazz hands? WHat can make hands jazzy?

So both are refreshing drinks! They're both made of blended ice- A smoothie is typically thicker and can have fruits and other goodies mixed in. A slushie is generally just the ice water and whatever liquid flavoring is added in.

Both are great to have in this heat.

[As for the Jazz hands Ruby pauses and gives this a little bit of thought.]

Uh- Honestly I think it's just a cool a pose. They make things more exciting and dramatic.

Okay. The whole blood magic thing might make it sound a lot worse than it actually is.

But I'm a cold blood- And my powers kind of mixed in with my powers from where I come from. So I can kind of generate ice like this!

[And she raises a hand up and after a brief moment ice begins to form over her hand and continues to travel up her arm, coating it in like a membrane of ice armor.]

So I provide the ice like this- Or a few other flashier ways.

[There's a pause and then the ice begins to crack and breaks free of her hand.]

And then Ange's magic let's her conjure the artificial flavoring for the slush too. Makes us an impressive team.

( It's a couple hours after the video announcement goes up, that someone's wandering towards the slushy stand. There's a clear hesitation as they near the strange-looking setup out on the boardwalk, staring at it as though unsure, but they're slowly shuffling forwards. The sign says "slush"... like the kind you can get from a gas station, only there aren't any gas stations around here.

There's.... nothing around here that's familiar to the person who's quietly making their way closer. They don't know where they are, or how they got here.

And perhaps that strange, lost energy isn't altogether out of the ordinary for Peter Graham, who frequently has odd moments of possession-fueled haziness, zoning out and getting lost or forgetting where he is at all.

....But this isn't Peter.

There's a soft cluck of the tongue as the person stands there, something that's certainly reminiscent of Paimon. This probably does seem more like the demon, with the way they stand there staring in wide-eyed silence, not blinking for a long moment. Then the person dips their head, shyly looking at the tops of their shoes and refusing to look at whoever's manning the stand by this time. Whether it's Ruby or Ange, or both.

Nervously, the person holds their hands up close to their chest. They don't say anything, just standing there — but their eyes slowly lift to stare at one of the slushies on display. )

[Ruby Rose is manning the counter when Peter Graham's body enters the scene. At first she starts to raise a hand to wave but it doesn't take her long to notice that something was off. Some of the behavior she was seeing certainly reminded her of Peter. The awkwardness, the looking a little lost, the way they just seem a little small despite Peter's height and frame. But there were things that reminded her of Paimon as well- The cluck, the wide eyed stare, the general sort of unsetting behavior.

But both of them were familiar with Ruby and this one didn't seem to notice her at all. It seemed a little different and Ruby couldn't help but wonder if something happened to either or both of them. Memory shenanigans weren't exactly uncommon in Trench after all.

So she keeps as neutral as she can as she tries to get a handle on what's going on here. She watches as whoever was piloting her friends body approached the counter and looked over the slushies on display. She leaned over the counter and gave a sweet little smile.]

Hey- Is there a colour there you like?

[ First of all the weather is awful. Rokkenjima could get hit but at least there was an ocean breeze most of the time during the summer. Secondly the chance to cackle at poor little Ange in a dumb costume is not one to be passed up. Beatrice, by all appearances vastly more casually than she actually feels, strolls up to the slushier stand without a care in the world just like any other patron.

She's very normal and doesn't know Ange is here, she promises. ]

[ She appears to be in deep thought for a long moment before she finally speaks, all smiles and good humor. ]

What flavors do you have~? I need to know before I can decide!

[Ruby hadn't been informed that a certain Golden Witch had arrived in Trench. She might have been at least a little more cautious if she had been but when she sees Beatrice approaching the counter she just smiles sweetly. There's a vague sense of familiarity about her but not something Ruby can pin down beyond a feeling.]

Flavors? Well we've got Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry, lemon, lime, mushroom and soda! If there's anything else you feel like- I can find a way to get it whipped up too. I've got special supplier.

[ Luna is positively melting over in Ritual Gig in Willful Machine, blasting herself with a cooling charm as she opens the feed. But she's still looking pretty uncomfortably hot. Thank Merlin for sundresses, even if they're not very practical in a blood world. Still, she's absolutely delighted with all of this. ]
