I don't know if it exists per se, but you could probably commission one from a skilled Architect or Arcane Scholar, so that'd be Gaze or Wilful Machine.

There's no money in Trench. You can just trade for things generally. If you don't have any stuff, you can give a bit of blood.

the first thing anybody told me here is that blood makes everything wrong here get worse. so what's the truth?

Sort of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Blood is extremely powerful, and half the city runs on it.

It also corrupts the planet further. So. Like I said, best to try trading first. They also sometimes take labour for payment, if you offer to do a job for them?

Blood magic as a practice is a new concept to me, honestly. I don't think so? But there might be some who are against it. Not in Gaze, at least (that's where all the scholars live).

gaze is where the school is, isn't it? i'm not much for sitting in a stuffy classroom

You'd think it would be a more popular point of view considering blood is literally corrupting the planet, but that's how it is I guess.

I don't particularly like sitting in a stuffy classroom either. The school itself has a lot of resources available to do research, though, so I tend to do all that myself and then go and visit the places I research if there's anything interesting to be found.

Well, that always comes in handy at least. Especially in places like this.

There's a lot of beasts around that cause problems for people, you might try the various hunter organizations or the Sanctuary. They're always looking for extra swords.

Where did you hear that? I've been looking for information on mixed bloodstone.

That's just a theory, but there's mixed bloodstones around. They're rare and expensive and take a lot of precision to make but there's architects who could probably teach you.

It's not that easy to get an apprenticeship with a master artificer. Perhaps if I give them enough of my blood they'll give me lessons. I suppose I'd better start saving it.

Do you have any other theories about bloodstone? I could try to test them. I know mixed pale and cold bloodstone is used in lunar generators.
