You can trade for meat at any butchers. Fish is cheapest. Don't be alarmed if they ask for you blood, it isn't going in the sausages. But if this is for a hellhound, or your omen, they don't truly need to eat. They do like it sometimes.

I was under the impression that learning magic made you a mage, but my world didn't have as many different names for things as some, or as many mages, so I may be wrong. In any case you can take classes at Mutter's School, though some of the people on here may be willing to teach you different magic from their own worlds.

And ninjutsu is very like magic, and anyone can learn it. You can take lessons with my sworn sword Sasuke Uchiha by the Wellness Center in Darcmouth. He can help you to control your chakra, which makes casting any spell easier, I've found.

The School of Mutter the school in Gaze with the big clock tower. They teach anyone. There are classes in magic, but you can learn about Pthumerians and the city, too. It doesn't cost anything to go to any of them.

You can ask your omni crystal to look things up for you, as well.

[D keeps an eye on people at the outpost even if he's a very hands off kind of person when it comes to running this thing. Most of the Sleepers know how to be effective on their own and the ones who need guidance can find it well enough in some of the others D has put in charge of projects.

But when he spots the new Sleeper with the large sword crouched down and using his omni while outside the inner barrier, D walks over. He doesn't mean to be sneaky but he is, and he reads over Carver's shoulder.]

[Carver doesn't expect much in the ways of privacy, particularly not at this outpost— which isn't a criticism, it's simply the most Warden-esque establishment he's been to in this world, and so he should have reasonably expected people to read over his shoulder. The massive omen should have also alerted him, probably, but she merely lies at his feet and sniffs at D's shoes, when he Appears.

Which is to say, Carver startles and fumbles the omni for a hot second there, a frown plastered on his face with comical offense when he looks up and over his shoulder at the interloper.]

[vi had taken a break from foundational digging (it's a kind of a slog, but she doesn't mind it because it's for a reason, and it's not all that hard: pretty much no thinking required, just dig where you're told, etc.) - had been about to head back toward the sanctuary for regular de-corruptioning - but she stops to scroll her omni - inbox, network - and then she sees this post and figures she'll at least answer one question:]

[only she hears herself as she says it. and turns, and ...sees the guy just squatting down, tap tap tapping into the device, and probably getting some useful information. maybe too much of it. is it really for your dog or are you "asking for a friend"?

[reaching into her pocket and producing a small cloth bundle, which she hands down to him with a small flourish. it's a bit of dried, smoked fish.]

He doesn't address the- is that an accusation?- the comment that implies he's begging for meat scraps for himself, primarily because he doesn't need to; as soon as he has that bundle of dried fish in hand, a loud, rough bark and the pounding of huge paws announces the arrival of The Dog. She's chest height on the average person, but presently bent down low to the ground, snuffling for Carver to Give Her The Fish.
