[ Rey looks awkward in front of the camera, this is not her natural element. She doesn't enjoy calling attention to herself, and this feels very self-indulgent, but save walking around and polling anyone she comes across this seems like the most efficient way to ask her questions. ]

Hello. For those of you who don't know me which is- probably a lot of you, my name is Rey.

[ She pauses, chewing on the inside of her bottom lip briefly as she tries to think of how to proceed. ]

I'm wondering how those of you who are used to running for your lives, or fighting every day to survive have settled here. How you found things to be useful to the community.

I was a pilot and a scavenger back home, there doesn't seem to be much call for either of those things here.

So I was just wondering how others adjusted.

Thanks.

[Maul spends the time Ezra speaks looking at one of his claws and wondering if he should trim it down rather than even giving him the common courtesy of looking at his Omni while he talks. When he's finished, he stares at the young Jedi and ask flatly:]

Are you quite done butting in once again when no one asked you to?

[Ezra stares back, just as flatly.

One: I'll leave that up to Rey and -

Two: Am I wrong?

How many other groups have wielded as much power as the Jedi and Sith have? There are other sects but there is a reason those were the main two that survived for a thousand years.

Well, not every group that studies the Force or uses it wants to be well known or particularly powerful. Some of them just do their thing quietly.

Like the priests of the Lasat people. I don't know if their tradition is older than the Sith and Jedi, but it's definitely older than a thousand years. How long were your people on Dathomir? The Guardians at Jedha?

[Maul's expression grows a little more thoughtful and now he's not just being a pain for the sake of it as he often does with Ezra.]

The Nightsister witches are interesting. They pull from both sides of the Force for their magicks, though primarily the Dark because of the nexus of it on the planet. It allows them to do things I've never seen any other Force user able to do.

I've seen their magick in action a few times, even worked in concert, briefly, but I wouldn't say I understand how it works at all, no.

I've been looking for books on it in the Archives here. I have reason to believe there's been Nightkin that were brought to this place before.

[Namely, the presence of a blood-crazed zealot who had clearly been a Nightsister once upon a time that Savage had the misfortune to run into.]

Oh? What make you say that?

My brother ran into a blood-crazed zealot that appeared to have been a Nightsister at one point. She would have had to be here a great amount of time to be warped into that.
