(On this fine evening, Jennifer Check has gone above and beyond. She's wearing a long, snug black dress with dramatic sleeves and a plunging neckline. She's straightened her hair until it gleams and was wearing heavy, dark make-up that made her look somewhere between dead and godly.

She's posing with purpose in front of the camera in a very red club.

It takes about three seconds for her to break character. A wide grin breaks open across her face.)

What do you guys think? I made a club! (Insert bouncy shriek of excitement. She becomes self-aware a second later and clears her throat, gesturing around her.)

Welcome to Devil's Dive. (She gestures at the camera and it begins to follow her smoothly. Clearly this is her Omen filming.)

Here we have the bar where you can get yummy drinks and nachos. I make killer nachos. And over here are a bunch of couches and pillows. I'm totally planning to host big sleep overs - the first one this Saturday!

(The camera zooms out and Jennifer gestures at a massive wall that seems to have been blacked out.)

But here's the main feature. I'll be hosting movie nights every weekend. And since it's October that means it's Halloween every day. And! If you come in a costume - (She gestures to her obvious Morticia Addams costume.)

You will get a free drink!

(Pretty sweet deal, huh?)

Thank you. I do, don't I? (Except she somehow manages to not sound completely arrogant. This time, she just seems pleased with the outcome of her own costume. And obviously this chick knew good taste when she saw it.)

You should totally dress up as Wednesday. We could match!

That's what I was thinking. I went to Earworm and like, totally cool, but I felt like there were a munch of scuzzes around too. Like ew. No thanks!

I do wanna decorate the place up more for Halloween if you want to help with that. I like decorating, but this place is huuuge.

[Luz was all about aesthetics and honestly? All of this was sending her. She could see that Jennifer had spent a long time trying to get all of this right, and it followed a cool theme and everything]!

Of course! I mean, you're already smoking, but man! That is a great look! Morticia was always so classy!

Oh no, you could definitely tell there are a LOT of things going down in Earworm. The music is amazing, but I think its a place more geared for adult clientele. This is a way better idea! I have to take my friend Mabel to this!

Yes. Oh yes! I'll happily do that! I still have to decorate (and put a ward on) our house for Halloween, might as well help here too! When would you need me?

Yeah, people are probably getting roofied like crazy there. Feels like the kind of place you want to go to with a pack. (As much as Jen liked to see herself as this cool, classy adult, she just wasn't actually an adult. Some part of her actually did just want to have a nice place to hang out with kids her own age - like any other kid.)

Who's Mabel? (She stares over her shoulder, humming.) Maybe some fake headstones could be cool. Those are easy to make, right? If you need help at your place, I can always swing by. I've got a fuuuuckton of energy right now.

(Wait, she thought Luz was bad?! Oh well, that doesn't matter, a pretty older girl just called her cute!)

Aw man, I hope not, but I don't know if they'd allow that there. That place is supposed to be tight with security unless you go looking for more adult activities? In those private room, I'm sure you could get away with a lot more.

It's probably for the best to ignore the insults. Jennifer was definitely the type of person who would just lean harder into them once she realized they bothered someone.)

(She snaps her fingers for emphasis. Gomez was pretty awesome - even if he wasn't anywhere near as delicious as Morticia.)

Trust me, I miss people with braces all the time. It's like my brain glazes over their existence or something. (A beat.) Does she snort crack or something?

Oh...(Jennifer's nose twitches a little.) Sure. Yeah.

Well yeah, but that's kind of the point! They somehow are just the right amount of eccentric and romantic that you can't help but see they're made for each other! I can't even imagine how long it takes to find the right kind of person like that.

[Luz really thought both of them were endlessly cool and attractive with just the right amount of sophistication! She was a little jealous, honestly].

It would really take someone being a certain way to maintain deadpan. Especially if they had to live here.

[Luz was really going to have to find some sort of way to get the trade options she needed. Man, being poor was rough].

[Luz knew that on a moral level she shouldn't be encouraging this, but that Jennifer suffered if she didn't indulge in her diet. That was just the way things were, much like with Claudia].

You wouldn't miss her! She's a sweetie! Cocaine? Hehe, nah, she's just really spirited! She throws herself into being optimistic! That's not an easy thing, but she manages!

[Luz had to note that being a Pine meant you were just going to throw yourself into chaos, whether you liked it or not].
