It wasn't my intent. I would prefer to shed a name chosen for by someone whom I hate. However, some power in this place seems hell-bent on reminding me of a past which I have sought to put behind me.

You probably know what a parasite is. A symbiote is a creature which lives off another species, benefitting the host creature. Lichens are a prime example, as they are two creatures in one: an algae and a fungus. The fungus provides the algae a surface to attach to, and the algae provides the fungus with nourishment through photosynthesis.

Pardon the scientific talk. I was a molecular biologist before I arrived here.

I've rather enough sharp things at my disposal. And gold doesn't take a good edge.
