[Video opens up and its the Disaster house...isn't it? Or maybe its Halloween somehow making its way into the house. There are skeletons and zombie facsimiles all over the front of the house, ravens and colors of orange and black all over the top portion. Someone is very much using their ability to fly to make sure the house looks as complete as possible.

The backyard has a faux cemetery because of course it does, and currently putting up tombstones is one Luz Noceda, in a cat skull mask, and she waves to all of you].

Hey! Sooo...in light of getting back into my regular sleeping pattern, I learned that we have something like a certain festive holiday back home, except its all about hiding your face! There's folklore that reminds me a little of Samhain with the whole keeping away bad spirits, so I figure: why not get into the spirit, and meld that sentiment with Halloween from back home?

So over at the house I'll be doing my best to keep things creepy: eyeballs, fake blood, creepy music, the whole deal. Kinda helps with the ambiance, and so far? Nothing really bad has happened yet!

Granted, gotta keep it that way too! Part of this is for the fun, part is for, well, you never know? In case spooks around here aren't just made up.

[Look, she had a whole ordeal on a boat with dead bodies. Letting her naivete fool her is just dumb at this point].

Oh no. I'm sorry that you've been having migraines. They really suck.

Vileblood? I remember reading about the different blood types in the journal I found in my bag.

How can you tell what one you are? I haven't tried to find out yet.

Yup, they are a few blood types that live in our house, actually! Vile, cold, pale and dark!

Vilebloods are the ones that have the blood that are green and red and smells like flowers!

Okay. That's an interesting kind of blood, but the flower scent sounds nice.

If I prick my finger would that be enough blood to figure out what type I am?

The people I know are vile bloods are an interesting mix1

By the way, if your smells like milk, you have blood like mine and you're a pale blood!

Pale blood. Okay, I remember that one.

Now when you say milk, do you mean the kind that's went off or just like regular milk?

It also glows at night!

Regular milk. Glad it only smells like it or I'd be allergic to myself!

Neither is being lactose intolerant.

Well, considering this months, if you're a pale blood you'll be able to see ghosts.

Ghosts. Okay, not completely out of the realm of possibility.

Do you know if I can talk to them or only see them?

This is not my first encounter with ghosts, and I don't think it'll be the last.

Honestly, I think it depends on the situation. Sometimes you see them as sort of...like the wind, here and gone, a part of things yet not. The ghosts that are more solid, more tangible, they either are kinda stuck on replay of some trauma, or they're pretty vengeful.

[Luz would be getting an eyeful of the latter later, lucky her].

Thanks for explaining more about them. I don't think I want to encounter the vengeful kind, but if I do, I'll be careful. Ghosts aren’t really a thing where I'm from. At least, I'm pretty sure they aren’t.

They're not typically a thing from where I'm from, Earth, at least not as far as I've seen. People talks about ghosts there but I'd never seen them there.

Here, well, my blood is making it way easier to see them now.

For the most part, they're both new. The empathic stuff comes and goes, but the traveling out of my body thing is something I'm still trying to master.

Actually, I am trying to get some help from a witch that's here. So far it's slow, since everything about this magic is new to me.

Well, you should absolutely take it slow. Based on my own experience, trying to take on too many things at once is not the way to go.

I'll need to do some research before any of my powers manifest. If they even do.

I'm taking as many precautions as I can. It being new doesn't mean I just want to go and start floating out of my body at any time!

To be honest, I HAVE been super busy, so I haven't been able to concentrate on it as much as I should have.

I think they'll manifest on their own, eventually. It was probably sooner with me because I was already doing magic before coming here.

Then you'll be the first person I'll contact about any powers I start to use.

But I am glad that you've been taking precautions, Luz. It's the smart thing to do.
