See you at the Black Parade!
[Video opens up and its the Disaster house...isn't it? Or maybe its Halloween somehow making its way into the house. There are skeletons and zombie facsimiles all over the front of the house, ravens and colors of orange and black all over the top portion. Someone is very much using their ability to fly to make sure the house looks as complete as possible.
The backyard has a faux cemetery because of course it does, and currently putting up tombstones is one Luz Noceda, in a cat skull mask, and she waves to all of you].
Hey! Sooo...in light of getting back into my regular sleeping pattern, I learned that we have something like a certain festive holiday back home, except its all about hiding your face! There's folklore that reminds me a little of Samhain with the whole keeping away bad spirits, so I figure: why not get into the spirit, and meld that sentiment with Halloween from back home?
So over at the house I'll be doing my best to keep things creepy: eyeballs, fake blood, creepy music, the whole deal. Kinda helps with the ambiance, and so far? Nothing really bad has happened yet!
Granted, gotta keep it that way too! Part of this is for the fun, part is for, well, you never know? In case spooks around here aren't just made up.
[Look, she had a whole ordeal on a boat with dead bodies. Letting her naivete fool her is just dumb at this point].
Hope I see you guys getting into the spirit too! Do you all have a version of Halloween where you come from?

D --> The principle holiday of my homeland is 12th Perigree's Eve
D --> Though that is largely f00lish grub related moralism
D --> I do not have a STRONG interest in such frivolities myself
D --> The Holy City had other festivals though I recall mention of Samhain from time to time
D --> It was not celebrated there however
D --> So strewing rancid remains of the fallen and detritus about one's domicile is considered celebratory here
D --> I confess that I find the practice e%tremely odd
Re: Text - UN: CentaursTesticle
They're not supposed to be real remains though. Ideally, they're just supposed to be scary adjacent, so you get into the spirit of the holiday, which is more about ghosts and being scared!
no subject
D --> It is not e%actly complicated I assure you
D --> If you do not fest00n with proper remains what is the point
D --> Is this some sort of dress up or roleplay activity you humans favor
no subject
I'm sure it isn't! It's just the first time I've met a troll.
Well, fun of course! Also, you don't have to smell it and want to throw up.
More the former than the latter, but according to the townspeople dressing up is also a way to deter something bad visiting you.

hey if you need more bones i got lots in my room
the house is looking good
we don't have Halloween or anything like it back home
but we got ghosts
i knew some
including a princess
GP was pretty nice, just a bit weird sometimes
Re: text; un: doublehedgedsword
Ooh, cool! There were some ghosts in the Boiling Isles too, but they're sort of doing their own thing. Also, I guess this is sort of helping to protect the house, believe it or not.
no subject
yeah? did you ever talk to any of them?
if it's protecting the house then it's doubly worth it

I can't say we have this exact sort of thing back home, though there are certainly harvest celebrations. [At the moment Kaeya himself is not yet masked or painted up, but give him time.] This is all a bit spookier, but it is interesting.
Re: [Video]
I do love the harvest celebrations too though! All the smells and the different colors of the leaves and the chill in the air! That stuff is great! The spookiness of it with Halloween is really what brings it all together for me though!
[Honestly her clear enjoyment is a bit infectious.] I'm a fan of spooky things myself.
[Or at least of pranking Klee and the other kids with spooky stories, but that's minor details.]
Tell me more about this Halloween of yours? It's this sort of creepy aesthetic as well?

LOOK LOOK HE'S RESTING LOOK.]
We don't really have any holidays like this in Corona. It's not obnoxiously saccharine enough, I don't think.
The house looks good, anyway. I'd offer to make you a smoke machine to make it extra spooky but woe betide I do anything that constitutes as work lest I get in trouble.
Re: un: trienemybest; text
It depends on who's celebrating it. Some people make it all about sweets for the kiddies and making all the bats and cats smiley. I just choose to NOT do that. Actually, I'll bet if Mabel celebrates Halloween it'll be a lot like that.
Buddy, if you don't get proper rest I'll put YOU up outside the house, so we won't need another convincing zombie there. Also, yes please on the fog machine.
no subject
I'm picturing a lot of glitter if that's the case. But that sounds...interesting. So it's supposed to be spooky but also sometimes not?
[He going to stinkeye her from his place, then POINTEDLY, put his feet up on the table outside. Both of them. Even the metal one. That doesn't get tired. ]
I am resting. See? Look at me resting.
I can do a smoke machine.

Re: video
Aw, thanks! When I heard about the black parade, I couldn't help but be inspired to try and celebrate the holiday from my world!

Wow, look at all this stuff! It's amazing! How did you do all this?
[And he literally wants a step by step guide, because he'd like to make some decorations, too.]
Re: [Action Spam]
Oh, I did some trades for the lights! The gravestones and monsters and stuff, I just made those on my own. Did you want to help and put up some of your own?
[Action Spam]
[Sure, he can't walk straight and has terrible dexterity at the moment, but he still wants to make all the things!]

... Although, the last time Halloween came around, I somehow got teleported into an alternate dimension called the Nightmare Realm, which was... not great. And I would personally not like to repeat that experience this Halloween either if I can help it.
Re: video | un: agentmothman
....
You know, I really wish I could say something like that couldn't happen here, but I was in Deerington, the town before this one. Something like that happening wasn't too far fetched.
no subject
The one I was in though looked just like my hometown, but everyone was acting weird... well, weirder than normal. And, at one point, the kids at Skool tried to lock me up in the "Crazy House for Boys" because of how I wouldn't ignore the hideous creatures that were wandering around us.
[So yeah... not great.]
